Wow, I had just linked your build into someone else's thread just the other day, as he was farming for opinions about bullet grilles.
So I shared yours with him, how you tied it all together across the entire truck in the hopes he would find some inspiration, then viola!! here you post an update for us ..... sure miss you around here dude !

The photo shoot looks like it was a ton of fun....and the red head.... Oh yeah, the RED HEAD :metal:

Hey Chefcy! Thats Cool that you came back to my thread a year later im honored my thread was your first posting!

been working on the wifes 49 plymouth here when i get any free time from work so ive only been driving the 66 chevy to the shop on week ends.. I had a little mishap pulling out of my driveway I was on the phone not paying attention and forgot to air the truck up before pulling out and as i was turning out i hooked one of the big stones that are at the end of the driveway ...it folded the rear pass. fender lip up under the truck and messed up the rear grill a little..my bed sides have always been messed up since i bought the truck , it had a barden bumper at some point in life and the truck had been eother hit or backed into something so theres been some dents and warpage on rear quartes, so the mishap with the rock just gave me a eccuse to fix the dent i already needed to fix heres after i un folded the rear quarter an started hammering dent from the back:

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...psjbopxs4b.jpg

working it:

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...psklzeprud.jpg

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...psghddxfzp.jpg

some mud:

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...pskqxfspnv.jpg

and the fix, now i need to hook the other side of the truck to motivate me to fix the dented drivers side HAHA:

I also went to pick-n-pull and found a york and mapco bracket off a 72 ford pick up, using it for on board air for my air bags , and getting rid of the power draining electric pumps that continuously running to fill up tank :

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...psokm9owjw.jpg

I basically only used the idler pulley , and mounting plate part and made the rest of the mounting bracket myself to bolt onto the 350 SBC :

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...pst2drw1dz.jpg

http://i976.photobucket.com/albums/a...psdwwfeqs8.jpg

got it all hooked up today and its the ****! i left 1 electric air pump for back up purposes if need be and a i added a air chuck at the tank to plug a air hose into if need be.... i rigged up a air filter from the other electric pump to the york until i can get something a little better fitting...going to take it all apart again and clean it up some...

Wow you have been busy !!
Guess the new job and living in the camper has really paid off for you !!

The Brothers Sedan is going to be too cool, I really like the Plymouth too, but my first thought on it was "Too bad that doesnt have suicide doors..."

Looks like your door repair on it tuned out awesome though !

Good to see you posting! Sucks that it happened, but nice job on the truck's rear fender repair. I dig the Plymouth as well, which looks to be coming along nicely. I know the Dodge will no doubt be sweet too once you put your touches on it.

Hey murph i guess i didnt mention that we ended up moving into a house.. renting at the moment , but still planning on buying ..we did save up money in the bank tho ....the rental once again doesn't have a garage but they allowed us to have our animals and let me park 6 of the 8 vehicals we own on the property so that was a selling point we have my brother inlaw living with us and splitting the rent so the wifes and i part is around $550 for rent so were still able to save quite a bit , brother inlaws lease was up and even tho we enjoyed the trailer , house living is more spacious and its helping her brother out also ,you can hardly even rent a 1 bed apt in the bad areas for under $650 a month so it was a win win for both us and her brother on a quite street in working class area....and by the end of the year or beginning of next i hope to be switching my line of work and working for pacific gas and electric company (PG&E) with beenys and retirement and the works, my friend in the union is trying to get me in i already passed all my per-employment tests and after august should be getting sent to the training facility.

thanks rusty for keeping a eye on my thread! I tend to always be busy working or working on my other projects so if im not posting on here im usually posting on other forums that pertain to the car im working on at that time. And the on board air is like night and day compared to the electric air compressors fills the tank up fast and im not watching my amp gauge needle dropping everytime those electric compressors would kick on...very happy with the york so far!

Ya woodland no longer lets the cruise night happen ,My buddy roger from socal speed shop(Woodland native) in sacramento puts on the preshow.... last year for the preshow party downtown they blocked of a couple side streets by the bars for us to park and hang out , this year they actually let us block of a section of main street right in front of the "stag" from 6:30 to 9:00 so it was a pretty big deal for us and as long as everyone that attends keeps it cool every year may get bigger and who knows may actually be able to put a cruise on also , but at the moment the understanding is that "Cruise" in the city of woodland is not a great topic yet...I think everyone is just happy so far that "midnight mass" show was actually in the same spot 2 years in a row and that woodland is welcoming us back so far...

I've got a set on my '76 and I like them. They're pretty common I think. I think they look cool and are functional. Leave the window down a little when it rains. I don't know if that helped but thought I'd tell you what I thought of my ventshades. I love this build. Happens to be one of my top ten on the board. Great story and a great looking truck.

grizz the vent shades are nice , i can drive with it raining and have window open and majority of the rain stays out :)! only down fall is that i always wear a ball cap and if im reaching out side the truck into the cab the little button on top my ball caps stick up just enough to catch and almost rip my head off every time in a violent jerking motion! drivers side vent shade has a small dent where it happens all the time HAHAHA
