Some more updates. Bed back on and installed headers. Took a couple pictures showing header clearance as well as pan clearance in case anyone is interested who may be running a Porterbuilt touring dropmember.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Looks great,cab on this week??
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
No that will be awhile. I have some exhaust, fuel filter and lines, brake lines, and some rust repair left in cab floor before I can even think about putting cab on.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Durg....didn't you once say that you were a long time lurker, and was putting off getting your own project until you could do it right, first time out the gate?
Yeah I am pretty sure that was you. Well, dang man, you were not kidding !! Certainly a man of your word :metal: your set up looks 100% killer !! |

Wow, amazing, etc., etc.! All of the usual compliments apply to your build. I can't say anything more than the others already have. Clean and inspiring!

Yes at the Winterport drags.

Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
man durg, I was hoping that when I instal my kit I wouldn't have to raise the bed floor. Did you get different rear notches with yours? Mine I think the smaller ones. Was it a pain to raise the bed? Mine may be a bit easier since it's a step side and I'm using 3" wider fenders. Gotta fit those 12" wide wheels on the back!
Truck looks great btw! |
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Mine is the Touring version of the rear dropmember setup and requires raising the bed about 5 inches.
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Just finished getting caught up on your assume bad a** build.
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Not much progress but I did get the widened rear wheel tubs sand blasted today.
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Do i need to bring the camera down?? Did you ever look ito the gearvendors?
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Wow you make that look like fun. Nice work on tubbing the rear wells too, cant wait to see the bed finished thanks for sharing the pics,
:jdp: |
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
It ain't much but at least I did something on the truck. I installed a Cherokee front door check with the two detent spots. Nice and smooth.
Fits: 1984 - 2001 Jeep Cherokee Front Left or Right Doors Mopar Part #55235571AB http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ps0e27cb9a.jpg |

Thanks for posting that! I had forgotten that's something we need to do with mine. I remember a thread talking about the Cherokee door checks a while back, but I'm not sure if it had actual part #'s. Sometime during it's life before me, my driver's door suffered the typical crease associated with the door flinging open too far. |
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Nice build DURG. I'm for sure following this one to the end. I may have missed it, but what did you end up doing on the transmission? You said you had a 400 and you were thinking about going through it to make sure it was up to snuff. Are you running the 400 or something else?
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
I had a turbo 350 lockup tranny not a 400. I bought a new non lockup turbo 350 from TCI.
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Glad to see you back on the truck, how did the rear tubs come out?
|
Re: DURG's Black 65 C10
Still at body work and paint. He is spraying the underside with rubberized undercoating.
