I have gone the route of resizing pictures. I do have a Flickr account but preferred to just upload to this site instead. Of course, that was when you could upload full pics and more than one at a time.

Frame Paint showed up Wednesday, and this New-To-Me Hood ornament made it today via Fleabay and the USPS...:metal:

Saturday morning during my Bank run, for the Tattoo Studio, I ran across this Beauty of a '64...:uhmk:

Turns out he just bought the truck out of Missouri and is the manager at the Grocery Store where it was parked, we talked for a few minutes and I pointed him to this Awesome board. :metal:

That's really cool! Gotta be worth some Bomp points. You should move the "nice truck - check out this forum" part to the top of the card tho. My first read made me think you were talking about your nice truck. It is a nice truck however and I would want to go check it out! You are a genuine artist Don. So many wish they had half that kind of talent.

:uhmk: Surfing these builds is where I found motivation to take my build to where I have, my original plan was to replace that fender, then put a motor in and drive... didn't quite work out like that, kinda just snowballed!

if you ever get over this way, you will have to meet a very good friend, Cotton Presley, he an inspirational speaker for the salvation army and does lots for people in need. totally religious guy with a great love of life and he is a blessing to me and my wife, plus he has a sweet baby blue 66 c10.

Those cards are a great idea. I recently introduced the forum to a couple of guys at shows I recently went to as well. Pretty cool being able to share the knowledge with other people.....I mean I have learned everything I pretty much know about these trucks here on this board in the last year. Figured I could help out somehow.

Spotted this beauty on the road and followed him to the Gas station. I introduced myself and handed him a card. He's visited the forum so maybe now, he'll join up and hang out here. He's in his mid 20's and just started a detail business... He says he is eventually build the truck, but is finding it tough to start tearing into it since it's driveable...:metal:
He's got a crate 350 bored .040 over and a mild cam (Sounds nice too), with a 700R4 pushing it down the road. During our conversation he mentioned seeing another truck this morning, turns out it was the one I posted about that prompted me into making the cards...:mm:

I really like the card revision, it flows much nicer. I had to do mine over several times before I was happy with the layout. (And now I'm going to have to do it over again)!

I was also surprised how handy they turned out to be. At the recent Goodguys event I handed out all the cards in my shirt pocket and had to get more out of the glove box. And they only went to other 60-66 truck owners, figuring they might be inspired to stop by. Some had even been on the site, but couldn't remember which one it was.

Thanks Mark! I really like promoting this site... The people and info here is what motivated me to go from, "I'm gonna drop a motor in and drive..." to where I am now! I'm not setting a date for the first drive but I hope it will be sooner than later...

I was planning on working on my bed today and found out I order bed strips for a stepside instead of fleetside so I did what I could and reorder the right strips. I have a brand new set for a stepside already painted black if you know anyone who might need them.

My weekend started off with replacing a toilet fill valve :pty:
and continued with my Laptop going on vacation... well, the Hard drive decided it was tired and during an upload of a new OS the drive pulled an Elvis, yes folks it has left the building, er case or whatever the appropriate term is...:waah:

Time for some Truck time therapy...:metal:

Bear with me as I outline my therapy session with pics...

I really didn't accomplish much in the way of real progress on the truck, I checked out the new to me driveshaft, it is gonna need about an inch and a half removed... Decided on the location for the 56 Chevy Hood Ornament... Since my plans for paint call for a Faux-tina outcome, the pitted Hood Ornament is going to retain it's character via the pitting...started some frame cleaning in preparing for the frame paint... found a second VIN punched on the left frame rail, where it will be located under the cab, along with the one stamped in near the front crossmember on the same rail, forgot to snap a pic...:dohh:

The heat and humidity slowed me brain processes down, maybe I need to replace my hard drive?:eek:

Recently I had a friend traded me a Blue Point Toolbox and a bunch of Blue Point Sockets... So, Clean and inventory the sockets, repair the bottom drawer of the cart, and here we are...
