Just curious, where's "there"? I see you give Glendora as home, that's just down the freeway from me. Is this "there" some other city?

Nope, my shop and my home are both in Glendora. My shop is next to Walmart off the 210 / 57 freeway interchange

I got the cutting and drilling done on my motor mounts. these bolt to my Camaro clip replacing the clamshell mount. I made them to use 70s Camaro shackle bushings.

I know this probably isn't the right place to ask,
but has anyone used those E-brake cable repair kits you can buy at auto parts stores, to fix their brakes?

Thanks Ray,
They just didn't look right without holes. But next tome I will drill the holes BEFORE I cut the parts out. Some days I get the cart ahead of the horse.

They replace these. the plate welded to the frame under the motor mount is to move the mount to the rear a couple inches.

All I've done is make a final parts list and start ordering today. The small detail stuff now like park lamps, a couple grommets and some new seals for the vent windows

Today I am planning on welding up my motor mounts. Then next week I can set the engine in the frame and finish the parts that bolt to the engine.

Ordererd weatherstripping and whiskers so I can finish up the doors. Found a great deal on the product, but oversize shipping killed me.

Started painting the wheels today. Happy with the result although not sure with the one I've put back on the truck yet. Will post a pic when I yet them all done.

A white wall will make all the difference I think.

Hard to paint chrome wheels but lots of scuffing with a wire wheel, etch primer, surfacer primer x 3 coats and a top coat x 3.

Only a temp tidy up until I get new rims and white walls.

Found a slight coolant leak and it doesn't look like its from the radiator hoses. Explains why my coolant level has been dropping over time.

It maybe coming from the water pump but I'm not sure. I know little about these motors (or any for that matter) and I'm not sure how to positively I'd that the leak is from the water pump.

Will pull it out tomorrow and have a better look. Not too much to replace but would rather not spend if I don't have to.

Thought I'd replace the hoses anyway but they are a nightmare to find as well. Different ends going from the 50 radiator to the later SBC means different diameter ends.

Anyone have ideas on this?
