Bob, I haven't moved a single thing, that will happen next month. But I am packing, packing, packing and dealing with SOOOO much stuff. I have to say though, I went out to dinner the other night with some friends who are Indian. They told me about their move, three times in India moving to different cities many hundreds of miles apart, then moving to New Jersey in America for a few years then coming out here to the SF bay area. I looked over at my wife and said "They must have yawned when we said we were stressed out moving to Idaho," they laughed. Yep, we can do it! Brian |

Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3
Monday I received my cable pulling gel and Tuesday I finished getting the passenger door windlace installed. I'll likely tackle the driver's side Thursday or Friday. I also received my LED H4 headlights Monday. I only had a little bit of time before leaving for work today, I got one installed. I also added sound deadener to the passenger side door (I did driver's door last week, boy does that make a difference in sound when closing the door!)
Yesterday (Tuesday) I bit the bullet early in the morning and purchased my polished Flaming River steering column - $600 bucks. No more than two hours later I got a call from a local guy on CL who is selling steering columns, says he thinks the chrome or polished one he has is an Ididit column. He wants $100. I might buy it anyway, at that price, if it is what he says it is. Ordered new 6.5" speakers for the doors today. I don't have a stereo installed yet, but the more immediate intent is to fill the gaping speaker holes in each door, they're ugly without something in there. Eventually I will have carpet ordered. The bare metal floor really needs sound dampener but I'm not installing that until I have carpet so I can cover it up. I also ordered new wiper blade refills from a guy on eBay. They're NOS because I couldn't find new blades that will work with my screw-in type of arms. |

I've done most everything on my truck, but I did pay my mechanic to swap the front coil springs and replace the rear axle seals. I'd have been working under the truck for days; he's got a lift and did it in an afternoon. Best money I ever spent. |
Re: What did you do with your truck today, Part 3

Today before I took off for home I got the bed assembly started, looking good! My hinges came in the mail today so I will get out to the garage and blast them and prime them so I can put the tail gate on the bed. Brian |

This working 10 hr. days 7 days a week, doesn't give much time to work on the truck. However I did get the decals on the tailgate!
Somehow with the truck in the garage, a bird was able to give me it's opinion although I'm not sure if the opinion was if it liked it or not! Jim W. |

Getting ready to make an evacuation escape with my truck as this massive forest fires marches steadily toward my house. It's about three miles away now. Here's a photo of the fire from a local webcam, then a photo of Interstate 5 stained red from all the fire retardant bomber drops:
EDIT: Ha ha, my spell-checker turned "retardant" into "retarded," lol! https://kqennewsradio.com/2019/07/28...o-11000-acres/ |
