Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
Well after wearing out the internet I have finally landed my dually. Found this one in California, bought it, flew out there from Saskatchewan, fired it up and drove it 1900 miles home at thr whopping speed of 55mph. It is a 79 4x4, 454 with air. A few hiccups on the romp home plugged fuel filters, broken belt, leaky pan and broken alternator bolt. We were loaded with tools and fixed all probs with very little down time. A full resto will be in the works. Anyone got some site to find interior items?

Only way to do it I bought mine from the guy that brought it up, but I lucked out in that sense. I was weeks away from flying down and buying one The lack of rust is worth every penny |

I have two here that were rust free......must have been a super sweet deal to go that far then have to turn around and restore it once it's home. The crew cabs around here normally are not to bad as they were mostly farm or CN/CP rail/hydro trucks. Both of mine started out as CN rail trucks.... |

Sweet crews!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
I like how they moved the moulding down to where the pre 81 truck's had their's. My truck is going to be very similar to this(except a darker blue) one day. I hadn't thought about 2 toning the rear fenders- but those look petty good.

That 2 tone blue & white is one kick ass ride. If yours comes out 1/2 as good it will be also.

Pics of my latest creation. Bought this, then sold the axles out of it.
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...3/IMAG0235.jpg Parted this due to frame issues. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...3/IMAG0236.jpg Ended up with this, still need to add plow, and lose running boards. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...3/IMAG0315.jpg |

First things first! Two new fuel tanks and lines, road worthy tires, go through the brakes and fixing the exhaust. It needs shocks and springs, might do a small lift; gotta talk to the spring shop and see what they can do. Needs a bed, drivers door is stoved in, and drivers rocker is rotted out. Interior needs to be freshened up; will be watching Craigslist for a burban getting parted out. The list of work it needs is long, but it's all small things that can be done in under a weekend. The price was right, and one of these has always been near the top of my " i want one of those" list. Plus i enjoy taking up three parking spots on my block! |
Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
A question I have a 78 chev crew cab dually and i would like to put the rad support with the cool headlights in can i just change the rad support or do i need to change the fenders to?
Thanks |

Define cool headlights. These? If yes, than you need a new grille, core support, hood fenders and cowl. Maybe more. http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p...ts/newrig2.jpg |
Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs
