I found it last night, when I get around to it I might PM him. I've read about people blogging for a living. It takes awhile to get the followers then the advertisements come. I don't know the ins and outs, but will check into it.

I agree. I think the blog idea would be the cheapest route for now until something else better comes along. We will see. Just got to find someone that has a clue about it.

This is the sunk in place I mentioned before on the bedside adjacent to the fuel door.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...d/DSC02239.jpg

Cutting the outer skin. The tape running thru the opening is my cut marks for the inside.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...d/DSC02243.jpg

Got to shorten the fill tube

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...d/DSC02244.jpg

Got to fix this screw up. Most of it is my fault, but not all. The filler neck was supposed to be on a 45*. Assuming caused the height problem.

Shannon is helping me out here. He made a template out of stainless (since he extra) to mock up. He doesn't have but a little bit of aluminum. This is the way I wanted it to look. He is gonna do me up an aluminum piece and Tig it in for me. Thanks Shannon!!

You got the dash finished up yet? Or are you like me and every project on the truck is halfway done? ;) The tooth pick could be my trademark.

I really don't recall what and how they are designed, but it should.

I've been messing with my 64 too much. I did work on my front end a little. My dash is welded in and mudded. I don't like the squareness of the center part. I'm thinking I'm going to cut a pipe in 1/4 and use that to round off the bottom.:uhmk: Did I tell you my legs hurt.

Looking good Alan. I'm glad that the filler neck mock up went well. I'll get the aluminum tube cut up today.

Also, I've got one of Ron Covell's welding dvd's here at work that I refer to from time to time with the shop guys here, I'll burn you a copy of it.;)

Yeah I wonder how that works. Do people have to pay to join the blog?

BTW nice work. :metal:

I don't think people pay. The money comes from the people putting ads on your site. They pay you for letting them put their ads on your site. I can see it now kinda like Rosie doing body work on old trucks.http://www.rosie.com/blog/:lol::lol::lol: Ok now I can go eat my lunch. Funny, I'm not that hungry any more.

I have created a blog, it's not much. But it is a start. There is a lot ot learn. Here it is http://alansclassic.blogspot.com/ The link will aso be in my signature. It will be close to a mirror image of what I put on here, maybe.;)Be sure to click to the following tab to follow the blog.

:haha: You get paid if someone clicks on a ad and they buy something you will get a commission.

Want to give a big shout out to Ru5tyNut5 for help on this matter.

I also signed up on Stacey David's forum. It's slow over there, but I am there.

This the flangeing tool that I used to flange the opening so the new panel will fit flush in the hole. I tried something different by editing the pic and typing on the pic. The fonts were bigger in the edit, but are not showing up as well here. Too much trouble to go back and fix since I over wrote the original pics.

http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...d/DSC02251.jpg

It's hard to see the flanged edges, but they are there.

Thanks Heath. It didn't turn out the way I wanted it too looks wise, but at least it'll hold gas I guess. It was a little "tricky" welding 1.5" tube in a 2" hole too.;)

Thanks, and the height worked out perfect.

Got the inlet tube worked out, I think. Get it tacked then figure out the vent. The pipe diameter is 1" at the narrow part. I thought about just getting an 1 1/2" pipe and weld it on where it necks down. Don't know just yet what I will do.

why don't you call your cable company and tell them you want The Speed Channel? I had to get the sports package here to get Speed, it's a must have for me.
