Managed to mount the radiator overflow tank and PS reservoir, today. Waiting on a couple of 90 degree fittings so I can connect the last PS hose.

It is documented in this thread:

I had somehow missed this thread. Very impressive!

Took driver side door apart and installed new glass and track, lubed up channels and coated bottom inside of door with POR15. Also added correct spacers to window crank and door handle. Window and door operate as they should now.

I chased a creaky squeak behind the cab in my truck for a while. Thought it was the bed and I practically took the bed off trying to figure it out. Turned out it was the driver's side trailing arm bushing squeaking. Dosed it down with silicone spray a couple times and it went away.

I found the squeak that was coming from the back of my cab. I tightened the rear cab mounts, and the noise is gone.

Mark, it looks like your starter is too far away from the flex plate, if you have a starter shim in there, take it out ........ replace the Bendix as well .

No shim ,it’s a Powermaster had a good gab when I installed it a few years ago . Think the damage was before my ownership and it got worse over time . I should have inspected the flex plate more thoroughly.

I removed the bed wood to refinish it. My bed wood planks are Birch wood. I finished them many moons ago with polyurethane, that has not held up well. I plan on stripping that off and using an oil instead of a surface coating. I also replace the sending unit because the fuel level float floated away on the last one. I used a plastic float instead of the brass one this time around.

Yep, understand. Just so you know for the rear bar I installed you will need to drill (6) holes (at least for a 67-72 c10). Good luck👍

I re-installed my windshield wiper motor with a new washer pump. Kind of a PITA to get the three bolts started, but it all works great. BTW, Rock Auto had the lowest washer pump price by a large margin.

I used cowl-to-motor and shaft seals from GMC Pauls. They are first rate.

And this is a great tool for removing and re-installing the wiper arms. Lisle 65750, Dorman 49023

Threw this together today, it's been a long time coming. The outer has been wall decor the last 7 years. Inner was shot, sanded, shot again and a clear coat, needless to say it's much heavier now. Took longer than I thought of course, nylon clips have to be sanded just right. Anyway, we install it tomorrow. Edit, installed. My assistant, really vise versa;), he's body and paint guy dropped these off today. Tires due "in a month", bumpers due "call back in two weeks", and upholstery & flooring is supposed to call, someday. Other than that done.

All of the bearings and 2 of the races came today just waiting on the outer races and grease seals . At least there are no Chinese parts going on the truck . USA and Japan

Nothing actually done to the truck, because it's 30 miles away at my dad's shop for now, but parts boxes are arriving :metal: New master cylinder, soft brake lines, wheel cylinders, brake parts for all the drums, new period correct carburetor has arrived, the rebuilt one that was on it was a pre 68.
Still waiting on the shipment from Cliff's High Performance for the throttle shaft bushing kit and rebuild kit to make the carb as perfect as I can make it. Pic just because

Uhh oh  I wasn’t happy with the color of the passenger fender and the cowl , I didn’t understand why it was darker than the rest of the truck . When I painted the ammo box a few weeks ago I figured out why . I inadvertently had grabbed the wrong paint I used the 68 Golden anniversary paint . Both cans were open and I just saw gold on the outside . Was a stupid mistake .

Thanks, I installed one back in the mid-90's on my 72 C20 that was 7/8" diameter. I been wanting to go to this larger bar. Looks like I will be talking to CPP for sure.

Probably my all-time favorite truck color!

My dad had a gold 67 Impala 2dr hardtop with gold vinyl interior. Probably a different gold, but it was super cool!

The saddle fawn poly that’s on my stepper is a little lighter and has more metallic than the anniversary gold .

Attended the C10 Truck Show in Enumclaw, WA. 200+ C/K-10's from all around the PNW. Found my "taller twin". The red/white '72 took best 67-72. I'm pretty certain this truck has every conceivable option and all items are original, though not factory on this truck.

Took some turpentine and paper towels to the engine to get a bit of the oily guck off of it. I'll get it a bit at a time. Not big on pressure washing, and the caustic cleaners have only the storm drains to go to, so that's out.

I've used an engine degreaser that's citrus-based. Not too harsh, and your engine bay smells like a bag of oranges for a while. I'll have to dig to remember the product name. They still make it, but stopped promoting the Citrus angle on the label. Of course I'm partial to oranges. My 292 is Chevy Engine Orange, and I resprayed the valve covers on the Jimmy's 350 in C.E.O. for my asmusement. A Mr Goodwrench crate motor, it was a boring black.
