Here is a couple pictures of my 46 in progress. It started life as a 1 1/2 ton firetruck and now the cab is being installed on a S10 frame.

ALRIGHT! Another thread, and with more pictures.
Did anyone else notice that the metallic orange '46 above has had the signals removed from the top of the headlight housings. I don't really care for the makeshift signals mounted underneath the front but I wouldn't mind doing this and using the headlights I've seen that have the signals built in at the bottom. I also have thought of shortening the front of the headlight housing about 3/4"-1" so they don't give quite the appearance of being bug-eyed as they do stock. Opinion? |

3/4" in height on the buckets?Like setting them down into the fender a bit?Might look good.It`s sutle.I see a lot of guys try to change that bug-eyed look and it`s a big mistake,IMO.It is what it is and vehicles back then all had the fender top-mounted lights.They just belong.The next trend was to put them into the fenders,but other changes in styling/proportions were made,too.

I`d say it`s Woodland Green.It`s a timeless color that is still used in the fleet paint program.In`72 it was code# 504,I believe,and also known as Dark Green.I`ve had a`50,`72 Blazer,and my`92 K3500 I ordered in that color (the only one of it`s kind) to carry the tradition on.

63&64 BOWTIES, If you have not already seen, LIZ did move my truck pictures to its own thread labeled TODD68CHEVY in this section. I added some more pictures in that thread. I also added some comments in your thread. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer the best I can. If you look at my pictures you can see how small a reg. 15" looks but you could go with a larger wheel and tire and probably make it look ok. I am modifying 1/2 ton fenders to work with the lower running boards so mine will have smaller openings. If you used 1/2 running boards I think 1/2 ton fenders will bolt up. I need the lower running boards to cover the frame. The 1993 S10 frame I used was also to wide and the engine and transmission locations were not correct so all that had to be modified. Thanks, Todd
