well i had the back lowered for a while then i got my spindles in today so i put those on then i cut the coils too much and bam im about a 1/4 of a inch from the inner fenders, took it out of my driveway drove up the street and it was hell hit the inner fenders on every little bump and had no turning radius, so i bought some new coils and just left the spindles in looks good now ill snap some pictures tommorow of it with new coils. i cut a whole coil out of the front and it went down way lower than i expected i loved the look but im not pulling inner fenders.

It does look cool though. Did it hit at the top of the inner fender or the inner lip?

Go to your local wheel alignment guy and get a 3/8" rubber spacer and put it in the lower A arm pocket. That way you can raise back up to what you would want for daily use. Mine have been in there for 6 years.

I found that the air dam is useful. It makes a negative pressure under the truck and removes the air that will build up in the wheel wells. That makes running at higher speeds easier for me. I kept mine just for that reason and I use the factory one, so that I don't have to spend a bunch of money repairing aftermarket fiberglass units.

Matt what size tires are you running? And what lowering components did you use. The truck looks sick!

yeah it looks sic in the first pic. i woulda got smaller tires and the right bump stops to limit the travel and ran with it. the rake looks good, air dam makes it look lwer too like they say

i have stock 16 inch wheels and the tires are about 31 inches tall.
and i cut 1 full coil off and used western chassis 3 inch drop spindles.

my advice too coil cutters is.. do 1/4 coil at a time, install test, ride height.. repeat until ur happy with ride height... one full coil will be at least 2" drop. just sayin.

truck looks good!

why would you lower a 1 ton its pointless

BGRAFX 06-09-2010 11:30 PM

Re: lowered my truck! a little too much

Mitch thanks for your negative comments, I will stop by next time I'm coming through goodland in my lowered 1ton towing a 24ft car trailer. Which is what the truck is intended to do.

Re: lowered my truck! a little too much

it looks good but i just have a problem with 2wds in general one tons sit up high so you can put a lot of crap in there if you lower it its useless and it will hit the ground if you put anything in there
