Fox Sports 1?!?!
 

Who else is furious with the new Fox Sports 1 channel taking over SPEED? This new channel is bs and doesn't even show the gear head shows that would always be on SPEED. My father and I would always watch Pass Time when he would get home from work, but now we can't cause it's taken away from us. I'm only 17 and would always learn a ton of information and ways to do jobs from Gearz, Chop Cut Rebiuld, Two Guys Garage, and ect. I don't understand why they thought this would be a better idea than SPEED.

I am also not happy with this take over. You have ESPN 1,2,3,4----------------. We have enough sports channels and the only one devoted to Cars and trucks, racing, Monster trucks ect.... was Speed and now it is gone. What a shame.

yeah they kept playing the commercials for it on speed and I didn't pay any attention to it. now I flip to that channel before it hits me. stacy david from gearz had a post on his site to stay tuned that they would announce where you can see future episodes. so hopefully someone will pick those shows up

Too many talking heads on this new "network"

Difficult to watch NASCAR Race Hub, big box on right screen, large scroll on bottom.
I'm only getting 2/3 of the screen to see Danielle Trotta.

but on the bright side my provider dropped them and gave me the Outdoor Channel. Wednesday nights are perfect ;)

Nascar runs on Fox, ESPN And Speed...I get Fox and ESPN now...but I miss out the races on Speed because I don't get the Speed channel.
I guess I don't see the real problem.

I never had speed either, so I don't have foxsports1. Sucks it's gone now. Maybe Velocity will pick up Gearz.

maybe those infommercial shows like gearz trucks etc with the talking heads pushin eastwood and lmc truck stuff will go to the shopping network with shamwow and vince

i like fox sports 1!! theyre gonna show good ufc fights on a regular basis and for free. whata not to like. the fight card on sat was good and the fights did not dissapoint

those shows were always on spike tv for me. I saw that I now had Fox 1, but I didn't know it used to be speed. Fuel tv is also now fox sports 2.

speed channel has been dead for years, they cancelled the only good show they had! (pass time)

A little mixed opinions here so lets have a poll and if you are unhappy the Speed is gone then simply reply with unhappy and if you like Fox sports1 then reply with happy. I predict 70% unhappy imo. I will start.

Meh.. I used to watch a lot of shows on speed, pinks, pass time, NASCAR shows etc... But haven't watched it in awhile. I think NASCAR's popularity has spiked and is on a downturn. All I can go by is my friends and coworkers used to love NASCAR and discuss the races every Monday at work. Not so much anymore, IROC race cars and corporate cookie cutter drivers have made the races almost unbearable to watch. I used to take vacation just to watch the Daytona twin qualifying races, now I DVR every race and usually fast forward to the last 20 laps. So I guess speed channel has just suffered because nascar isn't what it once was..

Speed has sucked for a few years now. The networks are doing what the majority of folks want them to do. Otherwise they would be out of business, like speed is soon to be.

speed channel priced themself out of the market, thiking they had an original idea that would surley get people to pay big money to watch, NOPE.

Its all one giant infomercial anymore, take the cue from magazine sales, they all went south well before the internet because you paid more for adds then car stuff.

Get a clue.......

Well when you guys look for a channel to watch some kind of car stuff when there is nothing else on and you know you could tune into Speed and atleast find something car or truck related and realize that it is gone like I did the other day, I guess some of you do not care but I was not pleased to see another sports channel with a bunch of cheesy a-- broad casters trying to sell this lame channel. I can tune into half a dozen channels and find a baseball or football score, I sure did not need another one on my DTV.
