Bucket seat braces
1 Attachment(s)
I recently had my buddy’s local fab shop make me some bucket seat floor braces and had to get a quantity in order to keep cost down. These are thicker than originals as they are made out of almost 1/8 inch steel. They are not 100% identical but I feel they are stronger and will be better than the rusted ones we are used to finding $150 shipped in conus. I started a new post due to poor pictures before

Re: Bucket seat braces
I may be interested in one of your bucket seat braces, but I personally ( and maybe others) don't know that much about bucket seat installation. Not meaning to high jack your post, but I feel they kind of go together.
I have a set of original buckets, I have not tried to install yet, but have the feeling they just do not fit in the same holes as the bench seat. Not to sound silly, but I take it that this braces goes on the inside of the truck and bolts to either the front set of holes or the rear set, is this correct. You need to educate some of us new guys on how this brace works, it may help sell you product if we know more about it. Thanks! |
Re: Bucket seat braces
If you are heading up to MI today I will take one if you can bring it with you.....

Re: Bucket seat braces
Thank you so much for answering my question in regards to concerns on installing buckets. Truck is currently stripped down to nothing, so when I go to the paint shop I will be looking for the dimples for the center council. What do you mean by outboard front and rear braces? Are you talking about the tracks off the bench seat compared to the ones on the buckets?

Re: Bucket seat braces
I appreciate the information on the bucket seat installation. It's a lot clearer now, time to start measuring. Thanks again

Re: Bucket seat braces
Special k bluek5 and alreadygone thanks for your replies and help. I’ve been out of commission for last couple days and appreciate your help. Been trying to do too much at one time and heat got the best of me. Been catching up on much needed rest. Daughter is getting married Saturday so that just adds more to the workload. Marriages have came a long way since I tied the knot . 200 plus people and catering. UBELIEVABLE

Re: Bucket seat braces
This is a cool product

Re: Bucket seat braces
Do these braces go on each side for the sport buckets? Seeing how both seat buckets have different mounting frames, one is stationary and one has an adjusting seat.

Re: Bucket seat braces
These are like the ones under blazers and 69-72 pickups with bucket seats. This is the front brace that’s tac welded underneath. You will still need the rear brackets which roger Koop sells on the board

Re: Bucket seat braces
