The first truck sure is a beauty with Low Miles to boot, but I couldn't have that Transmission, lol. Makes it a rare truck though.

That may not be a 350 cu. my fathers company had one and it could well be a 366 cu, Allison's suck up a lot of torque and horsepower for a 350 to be in front it...but he does state he has the build sheet...

Thanks for adding the pictures. Problem with a lot of these CL threads, once the ad expires or is deleted so are the pics, so the whole thread kinda dies.

Two nice trucks.

Both have pretty decent prices.

Believe I'd take the '67 though.

It may be one of the deals where it sat for a while and the year on the title was the year it was titled, even though the truck was manufactured prior. A VIN would determine what the case may be.

That's OK though, I'm sure most of us don't mind seeing an ad of an interesting smaller truck now and then.

The trucks with 366 would have the chrome vents in hood

I have seen 1945 pickup trucks. They have no chrome. I don't know the details, but you probably had to have to show the need to get one, or they were only for businesses supporting the war effort?

I thought diesels were testing exempt if... '98? or older, he claims it is. Heavier duty might change that though.

 More pictures and more info! I looked at the listing for more info, but you listed it all but the 3 axles. Nice truck! Just don't understand why some people hold back info like it's some secret. I've even seen some add, "Serious inquiry, only". I'm serious enough to want more info so I can decide if I'm serious about buying

I'm not a 67-72 expert, but I thought only the 427 trucks came with vents... My dads 72 did for sure... 72 427, 5&4 twin screw c60

mrolds88 02-01-2015 01:53 AM

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

IIRC the 427 trucks had vents on both sides, the 366's got one and the rest had none. Also I could see me having a blast with that 62 7000.

special-K 02-01-2015 08:20 AM

Re: The Ulitmate Craigslist find thread

The vents were a big block thing. 427s say 427 on the vents, 366s are plain.

Yeah, he could at least told us what kind of Trans it has.

By the pictures anyway, we can see it also has Budd Wheels, the Sheet Metal looks pretty nice, and just about a guarantee it has Air Brakes, but that's about it.

If anyone in the area checks it out, let us all know.
