I just want to say that this is one great site. I accidently ran across it and have been checking it out for the last few hours. I currently drive an '89 Silverado X-cab Longbox and just recently purchased a '93 Silverado Shortbed with a V-6. My '89 has a 350, auto, had been dropped and running3" exhaust w/no mufflers. Sounds great a cruising speed. The '93 is Teal and I have to get some pics of it. Plans are to drop it down also and change the paint on it. Here is a pic of my '89. Looking forward to talking to a lot of you and frequenting this site quite a bit.

This is my new truck. I haven't seen it yet, I live overseas, my brother looked at it for me. It has 133k miles on it, 4.3 engine and the 5 speed transmission. I will be coming back to the States to live in February so will start working on it then. I am planning to replace the box with a Fleetside box and change the engine to a 350, if the transmission can take it.

This is my "new" 1996 2-door Tahoe. When I got it, it was already lowered and riding on 15" American Racing Torq Thrusts with 255/60's in front and 275/50's in the rear. Since I've had it, I changed to clear corners and a billet bowtie in front. Future plans include removing side trim and badges. "Simple" stuff like a cold-air intake and dual Flowmaster exhaust. I would love to get 20's but that's further down the road.

Just bought mine yesterday. Its a 99 and I guess its all stock. Not sure on the plans. Don't really want to lift it at all or do anything extreme. Would like to get a paintable grille with no bowtie and some clear corners then remove the mouldings, trim & emblems. Was going to buy some 285/75 truxus for it but no of the offroad shops had them in stock in the city so I guess I'll have to wait for a bit.

Current "mods" are GrilleCraft insert, billet bowtie, white corners, APC clear bumper lights and projectors. Additionally it's running a full stainless Gibson exhaust (headers-back) and K&N. Wheels are American Racing equipped with balloon tires :D in 265/75x15. Future plans are (of course!) 20" or 22" rims, rolled pan, bumper cover, a repaint of at least the dark gray areas to black - and possibly a slight lowering if one can still get the 4x4 kits. http://www.chevyworld.net/chevyken/tahoe/bothcars3.jpg http://www.chevyworld.net/chevyken/tahoe/bothcars4.jpg ;) Ken |

Here is a pic of my current project. 1996 Ext Cab z71 on a 1985 stretched 1/2 frame. Me and my dad have been spending quite of few hours on the frame and have got the cab mounts level and made cleanly (not cobbled looking). We put the body on to see if things lined up good, which they did. We will have to still make the mounts for the bed... but the main thing is that the wheelwells lined up great center to center and that the cab was level. In the first pic the truck isn't sitting level on the stands. but we have it level now. It has a 14 inch 73-87 suspension lift and around a 4 inch body lift because of the different frame. We have a 454, th400, and 205 divorced tc for it. So over my xmas break it's development for the tc crossmember and then installing the drivetrain. We don't have the axles under the truck because of the height to get it under the door. This gave us around a rough estimate of how high it would sit though. The axles are Dana 60 front and corporate 14 with disc brakes in the rear. I am very excited for the break to get here so I can get further along. Trevor

I'd also like to say that I enjoy this site and appreciate the help I have gotten here. I just wish I could contribute more. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...5/P1010014.jpg |
