Looks like the frame is to bad to fix. Tow hook bolt won't come out cant get a wrench on it will have to burn it off.

Was still in the original owner family. All I have done to it is put the original seats back in it and a new dash pad and a master cylinder. Has rust on fire wall and left rocker back end has no rust. |

Hit a mini Cooper broadside didn't have a chance to even slow down or hit my brakes.

Re: 1970 jimmy tear down and rebuild has started
Just an FYI, you can recoup so of your money on the twisted frame. People are always looking for spring hangers in good shape, to either replace what they have or convert to 2wd.

Nice. Looks scary with the body up like that. Probably feel pretty good to get it back on it's foundation.

Re: 1970 jimmy tear down and rebuild has started
Nice progress, hope its not alot, good luck and nice work
|
Re: 1970 jimmy tear down and rebuild has started
If the body bolts lined up with the new different frames mounting locations, then it should be pretty close. You may have to shim the mounts to get good door gaps.
|
Re: 1970 jimmy tear down and rebuild has started
I had to use shim last time I restored it.
