BodyShopDropOut12 06-12-2004 12:50 AM

Ahhhh. My eyes! My heart. Ahhhh..uhhhhh

Somebody grab a USDA Fubar sticker and slap it on that contraption.

apstguy 06-12-2004 02:09 AM

Me retinas are burning! Ah!!!!!!!!

1FaastC10 06-12-2004 02:29 AM

hmmm, how's that saying go, people who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones?

i would have to see it in person to really know wether i like it one way or the other. if the bodywork is done correctly, i dont see a whole lot of problem with it. its not your run of the mill cookie cutter truck anyways.

BodyShopDropOut12 06-12-2004 04:27 AM

I didn't mean to critisize this truck. Only my opinion of first look. Any idea on what this lunatic, (cough), sorry, creator was going for on this scheme?

BaggedC10 06-12-2004 05:28 AM

Wow, that's terrible. Quality work or not, it has no passion or class. :(

RockHQ 06-12-2004 05:47 AM

All it needs is a new front clip, doors & a paintjob. Maybe after those the owner will actually be able to sell the damn thing.

Ric83 06-12-2004 08:23 AM

:barf: :barf: :barf: Oh yeah, :barf:

eagle23 06-12-2004 08:25 AM

Looks like a 50's pickup and an Edsel got to foolin' around behind the wood shed one night :D :D

Brian

Time Travel 06-12-2004 08:42 AM

now you know why the guy is selling it. I mean trying to sell it !!!!!

80BIG10 06-12-2004 09:12 AM

Did you notice with all the people around not one is near the thing (exept brave cameraman) and out of all those people not one is even looking at it.

Liz 06-12-2004 09:43 AM

I have to agree with Jeremy.. anyone who puts that much time and effort into a project ( doin it themsleves or otherwise) deserves some sort of credit. It may not be my taste or first choice in style, but would be a pretty boring place if every truck looked the same.

Blue Beard 06-12-2004 10:24 AM

Maybe he's hoping someone will hire him for his talent, not his design ideas...

Izzy 06-12-2004 10:41 AM

Atleast it's lowered. :D

There was a truck (our years) on the ISCA show circut many years ago. That truck won whatever thier top prize for the year was called. It was quite a deal as it was very unusual for a truck to be top dog. The front clip on this truck has some very similar designs on the front clip. Especially the leading edge of the fender. My guess is the owner was trying to copy some of that other truck. The actual show truck pulled these mods of much better!

swervin ervin 06-12-2004 12:34 PM

The biggest thing that comes to my mind is "WHY?????"

8t5Silverado 06-12-2004 01:09 PM

I have seen worse...I will have to take a pic of a local truck and post it for all of you... :(

GoldDigger - That was a sweet truck in its time. This is definitely a POOR example of a working copy.

GMC1tondually4dr 06-12-2004 01:38 PM

Not so nice truck?

This .......thing?.... looks like a car that was entered in the World of Wheels car show a number of years ago. 1974 Buick or Olds 2dr sedan, chopped top, everything shaved and moulded, many body mods, huge amount of work. Then the guy painted it in a very boring and subdued dark brown stock type metallic with greenish flames, not done very well. Just a complete waste of time and energy on this particular vehicle. It is a prime example of the old addage "If it looks wrong, it probably is ". :gmc:

ed455 06-12-2004 01:47 PM

Why didn't he just buy a 65 Falcon if he likes those fender lines?

crossy 06-12-2004 03:38 PM

I was thinking exactly what 80BIG10 was . the response is ZERO from the crowd.
and A 65 falcon never looked that bad.
One piece side glass though that everybody asks about . can you say -BLIND SPOT'.
Maybe it's for the new movie. 'THE JETSONS GO TRUCKING'.

DAVE

If that is a P.H.A.T. Ride (Pretty Homely And Terrible?) I'd hate to see the P.H.A.T. Chicks.

GMC1tondually4dr 06-12-2004 05:58 PM

Goofy truck

Look on the positive side, he'll never get car jacked. :gmc:

I got in too late. As soon as he said that I knew he was talking about Renne Dyers "Gold Digger" truck. Not that was an awesome custom truck....

Nope!

Look closer that's still a stock side window set up, he just filled in the vent wing but i guess you could consider it to be one piece of glass

As for the truck :whine: :banghead:

if you look closely, the fenders are molded into the cab.. looks like he changed around the windshield too..
i think he done it to be different.. and he got what he wanted..
