With all the bagged/draggers out there...I would like to see some stockers. Here a few of mine. The factory stance and vintage lines are timeless...imo.

my 65 is a stocker, almost original unrestored, except for the front fenders. the only custom stuff on it are the big truck grille, those goofy mirrirs, which work too good to take off, and a reupolstered front seat I stuck in to replace the worn out original.. has 900 miles on it, so I am betting 100k, maybe 200k.
original 283 4spd.
I love using it like a truck, and as a truck!

one of these: (you have to change the mount bracket over to c10)

I have seen that same grille from a 50-80 Series truck, but they CHEVROLET letters were inside the top & bottom bars. I like it both ways and thanks for posting.

Other than maybe a set of late model wheels, I keep my pretty much factory.

Negative Ghost Rider...pattern is full.

I will leave that to the others and I will stick with the mundane stocker look, fit and finish. Not to mention, I don't know the first thing about the process, so I will stick with what I know.

I don't utilize one of those monsters unless I am removing someone else's hack job. I am amazed at some of the stuff I see on the 4-5-6 Chevy trucks I have acquired over the years.

Here's mine. I have been doing a lot of work, but I'm certainly not a good enough body man! However, in the pic is how the truck looked when I got it from my dad, and he got from my grandpa. I'm hoping to return it to Saddle fawn metallic and white top. I kept the original 250 and rebuilt it. It is painted the factory ugly green, but it is original.

Here is my 64'. It was mostly stock except for the aftermarket steel wagon wheels and the add-on mirror. I drove it home with the 5 gallon race can and all the crap in the back!

I have since dropped a 350 v-8, auto 4 speed. Moved the engine back 10". z'd the front 4" and the back 10". Bagging it and redoing the floor. I do plan to keep the stock blue paint though!

Well, I think it looks better than it really is. The doors still need some body work ,the bedsides have been a bear, and I REALLY need new rockers and cab supports. I don't know enough about welding or sheetmetal work to tackle that, so it is in my garage right now with the bed off. I'm hoping to win the lotto some day and then pay someone to do the rockers and supports.:waah:

Here is a picture of the '66 K10 Lee and I finished a few months ago. The second photo is my '66 K10. They almost look like twin brothers.

I really like the 4wd trucks, someday I will restore something to stock, I'm just not ready to do it yet. I'm going to wait until my knees give and I can't step down into a truck anymore.:metal:

that is one way of looking at it,
i don't look at it that way, when i'm putting my blood sweat and tears into something, i'm not thinking what i will be able to get out of it.
adding dropped coils or spindles doesn't alter the vehicle, you can always go back to stock. completely bolt on.
that is like saying you adding later model wheels ruins the truck. Attachment 402575

Tony, I look at photos of your trucks to see if I have everything right on mine! Is one of yours by chance on ebay? I saw a red one that is near Kansas City listed the other night. I swore I took two of the globe shaped horns off mine when I tore it down, but didn't have a photo of the mounting for the second. I can now say after seeing the photos on ebay that I was right (even though many told me it wasn't so). I now know where that second horn mounts!!

Keep the photos coming guys!

Thanks, but I can't take a lot of credit. I bought it like this in 1994, and other than some mechanical upgrades, I just left it alone. I have put over 60,000 miles on it since I bought it.
