Yea, the yelow shortbox is mine, built it ears ago...still sits unfinished. :( I also built this Clodbuster somewhat recently, still have to finish it, but these are some of the things I do during the winter months.
Here is a link on my site to some more RC stuff. I need to update it with those Proline bodies...they have been on the market for quite a while. http://www.73-87.com/7387_Novelties/Radio_Control.htm |

Re: R/c trucks
I guess it's kinda like R/C...I recently decided to get back into slot car drag racing seeing as how my kids are getting to the age where they would enjoy it. We have a track less than 5 minutes from our house that holds weekly races.
Along with building the kids a few cars to get thier feet wet with, I decided to build one for myself. It's still in the rough mock up/builing stage, but you get the idea: http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...c/P1010084.jpg Still gotta finish up a few things on the chassis: http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...c/P1010085.jpg The back end needs to come down some. Once I figure out what gear ratio/tire size I'm going to run on this truck, I'll tub the back end so the body sits nicely. I also need to move the front "axle" forward about an 1/8". Once I get everything dialed in, It'll go in for final paint and detailing. Should be a lot of fun. It already gets a lot of looks at the track and it's yet to make it's first pass. I've been toying with the idea of doing a lifted K10, but I've got to put some more thought into it. ...and I should probably finish this one first. Incedentally, if anyone knows where I can get a early 80's Malibu in 1:24, I'd be greatly appreciative. |

Re: R/c trucks
proline.com

Re: R/c trucks
Do they make a regular cab LWB body?
|
Re: R/c trucks
They should...
Try www.rccrawler.com and www.scale4x4rc.com. Those are the two best websites for RC crawlers. Watch out though they are addicting. I've got three in the garage, my dad has one and Brother in law has two. Every time we get together for family stuff it is an unwritten rule that we bring our crawlers. |
