686970, you truck sits up pretty damn high for only 6 inches of lift, mybe its just the perfect stance that making me jealous. i was going with body lift for that much but instead im gonna replace the body bushings and get 6" springs. heres my piece that is currently at the body shop, soon as it gets home my new lift will be waiting for it, good times.
|
Its four inch springs and two inch body. (Im guessing you knew that)
So you already have a spring lift but dont want a body lift? I'm digging mine so far. I already had electric fans and am not worried about the bumpers. Those are the two big issues with a body lift of only two inches. |

how long has ur blazer been in the shop? and whatta u puttin on it? i remember u tellin but its been a while, a 6inch lift?
|
It's only been in for a week, or so. I'm puuting a 6' Lift with 35" Thornbirds. I'm going to be posting some pictures of the progress this weekend!! Oh yeah, Whitdog your Truck is Awesome!!!
|
thanks, funny but i actually have more into the stereo system then what i paid for the truck!!!!!!
ur blazer sounds sweet, specially for a chic!, only thing that gets me is, a week ? they have had it for a week? just seems odd to me, the guys i do work w/ down here who i know personally can do a truck in a half a day, thats my style, a 88-98 truck 6 1/2 or 9 1/2 inch lift in a half day, so just got me curious, but i hope the best for ya, and cant wait to see pics of it! |

Re: Lifted Truck Pics
Its funny how small those tires make the wheels look. Im so used to 17"-20" That most newer trucks run now. :metal:
|
Re: Lifted Truck Pics
yeah those were 16.5 s too. i lifted it about 4 more inches after this pics. i just had got the wheels on in this pic.

Re: Lifted Truck Pics
only make 49 iroks in 16.5, 17, 20s. which later i swapped to rockwells and needed 20s so i could use 4 wheel disc breaks on them. which was high so i sold everything and lowered it back down on 44 boggers and sold it.

Re: Lifted Truck Pics
Thanks guys. Its an 86 with 700r4, np208 10 bolts front and rear with lockers at both ends and superior axles in both. The engine is a GM 290hp crate engine with a set of edelbrock SMOG legal header and the rest of the parts on the engine are factory. Runs better than most newer trucks and with the non-computer controlled quadrajet i can practically run the thing upside down. The best part is the truck is 100% rust free and no dents.

Re: Lifted Truck Pics
I really like it. Can't you tell everyone what lift and tire size you have?
|
Re: Lifted Truck Pics
The lift is a craigslist four inch pro-comp lift with ORD HD front shackles, a ORD shackle flip kit in the rear, ORD frame brace, with some gabriel nitrogen charged shocks. All the rod ends, steering links and steering stabilizer were replaced and it rides fairly well. Coming soon will be the tuff country front springs or alcans all around.
