I love these trucks. They seem to be very rare and I hardly ever see them. I'm posting up some pictures of mine. 1999 4x4 Sierra 2500.

I once owned a '99 c/c s/b, very similar to HeloCrewChief's but in a dark charcoal. I went into the local dealership parts department and ordered up a pair of the original SS454 bedside decals. Many people would stop me and ask if GM brought back the SS454 in a c/c s/b 4x4! ... LOL :D
Miss the truck but do not miss the fuel mileage.

The real rare ones are the c/c s/b duallys. Only made in '99 and '00. I missed the opportunity to purchase one a few years ago; I've only seen one in person!

Saw one of those on Ebay and he actually lived about 10 miles from me. I thought it was converted but no its a rare truck, pretty cool though.

Nice truck KQQL IT!

I had the chance to turn mine into a dually but chose against it because i liked the short bed look a little better but it was still a hard toss up..

Hope to get mine running this week

It's desperately in need of a paint job. It is much worse since those pics were taken. I have good plans for it, but no money for execution. :(

ehhh...The paint has really gone to crap since those pics were taken. It only has 80,000 miles, but honestly, it looks more like 180,000. The dash is cracked all to heck and faded, the driver's seat is coming apart...It depresses me really. Neither myself or my dad have the money to do anything about it right now either.

Here is my 2000 GMC 2500 It has the 454 big block 4L80E trans 373 gears and only 58000 original miles on it. I bought it new and have parked it every winter to keep it prestine. Through this past fall I had never needed to do any major service to it. I have a friend who is a GM dealership mechanic who can get me GM parts at a nice discount so I did a little preventative maintenence recently. I put some new GM rotors and pads, wheel sensors up front and new GM shoes and axle seals out back also new GM fuel enjectors (all 8), a cap and rotor, serpentine belt, drivers side GM front hub, valve cover gaskets, thermostat, and changed all the fluids with royal purple, just before I put it away for winter this past fall. Should be ready for another year of lite service pulling my Fishing Guide Boat HA!!. I was trying to sell her a while back because I want money to buy hunting land in northern Wisconsin. If it would have sold I know I'd never been able to replace it. Probably still may for the right price. John

Nipper's corner area, and I work in Brentwood by day and Cool Springs at night. I knew that CCSB looked familiar.

I picked this one up last night. 125K miles, absolutely rust free and as clean as a new one. The PO used it to pull a plane in and out of a hangar so it has pretty much no real use. Plans initially are to remove the topper, 20 or 22 inch wheels(staying 8 lug) and slight lowering, nothing drastic. But then again that's how all my trucks start, they never stay that way for long!

Re: Pictures of Crew Cab Short Bed's

Here is mine I'm working on

http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...pseff34273.jpg

Its a 97. Started out as a 2wd long bed dually with a 454. Over the last year its gone though a bit of a change.

I took a 94 dodge 3/4 pickup and used the engine (5.9L 12v diesel), transmission (nv4500), transfer case (NP241), front axle (dana 60) and rear axle (dana 80) and stuff them into the truck. Shortened the frame and added the short bed.

Its sitting on 35s and seems to work real well. I have about 5000 miles on it now, I've been averaging about 16.3mpg and out on the highway have gotten as good as 18.8. I'm hoping to hit 20mpg once I get some new injectors and do a little tuning.

Obviously I need to get the bed painted, but I'm going to have the whole thing repainted black.

Pretty much everything works like it should: A/C, cruise control, brakes, clutch, etc.

I still have a few odds and ends to do on it, but I'm liking it.
