need pics of maroon trucks
These are some pics of my 58K original mile 79 old farm truck. Had a 6cyl, now with 350 and TH350. I redid the bed in wood and it came out great will post pics of that later. She has undergone a small restoration and nowready for piant. I will get chrome bumpers and an updated grill. I really want to go with a nice Maroon color (or maybe a dark/navy blue) anybody got any pics out there (with the correct apint name please) of maroon trucks?

my truck is a blazer but hey,its maroon;) it's called maroon metallic a 85-87 gm color,it's also called dark red metallic

I looked up "monterey maroon" today. It is a chevy color for several years now. Lots of examples around town. That truck looks about the same. Will put up some pics of mine after I get it back. |

LOL your right.Now the true spokes here were the 50 bars. Trues and vogues thats what you had to have on your caddy,duece and a quarter,nine eight,bonnevilles,park ave the list goes on.

Dark carmine red code 71 was the factory maroon color on 79-80s

I just need or really want the closet match to that dang blazer. Does any one have perfect color codes that i can take straight to a BAPS ( what we have around here , paint supplier wise) or any where. I need a wa # ?

it'S called dark red metallic and it's gm color from 1985-1989
code is 8529 |

thank you so much. You have help millions. I found that code before you posted just now... and it shows on a 93 vette, but then they cancelled that color on the vetter after a short time. Then it sent me to the trailblazers of 07-08 , then they add hues to it so its not the same, then newer stuff has it but minus the metallic, so at some point its been majorly changed and thus is where my head is spinnin... but thanks for confirming that. I already called my local paint supplier with the code and they are telling me no... so i guess i will have to print the pic. and drive in and slap them with it! but thanks a million. By the way- nice blazer , havent seen one that nice in a long time !
