So If I have a 72 C-10 truck that has manual steering is this what I need along with power steering pump to make the swap?
If so then I want it :)

Brake Booster, power steer pump, and power steer box i believe. :metal:

I have a power steer pump I am almost done blasting and a 71 Brake Booster/master cylinder/prop valve as well. the booster is missing the bracket but you can find those fairly cheap.

It is a 100 lb capacity compressor style. I can not remember the brand off hand but just get one that can put out some good psi (125) because it will cut right through but you can always adjust your flow as needed for more delicate parts.

Hey thanks Randy... I thought I had it priced fair off the bat... I mean its virtually brand new now and all seals are good and operable. Nonetheless, had views and no one was commenting so I dropped the price a bit.:metal:

Heh, I was going to say that the design you're defaming was used for 50 years in many (even non-GM) car brands and you just meant blasted. :)

I need a Quaalude!

I learned to pop the clutch to lift the front on my 69 C20 so the steering would lighten up and then crank the big old wheel around quickly. Loved that truck. Tree speed column shift. I drove it for 2 years w/ only emergency 1st and reverse because of the shift linkage.

Nah... I meant what I said... The title is correct and no harm no foul but I don't like when people put words in my mouth... It is from a truck... I have a 4x4 one as well.

Not being a di** either but should probably watch advocating drug use publicly on family forums... Save that for pm's. Like said... no harm...no foul and I am not offended. Just don't comment on my post to "school" me. I am sure you are having fun because you seem fun at spirit... soooo "KEEP TRUCKIN" buddy!!!

Sorry, I was just making a joke on myself and thought I'd share an anecdote.

I deleted all the stuff I really meant to say. Lighten the F up bud.

Nobody under 50 knows what my reference was, and I as said was joking. I'll meet you out back and you can kill me with your bible. I'll be dead and you'll have some moronic feeling of superiority. Cool?

As far as the drug bit goes, no doubt nobody under 50 knows what the reference means, and we over 50 have no interest.

I have no interest in "schooling" anyone, least of all those w/o a sense of humor, the obvious, context, or basic English.

Yes, you are being what you pretend not to be, a Di**.

It's cool man... I was just doing the same thing buddy. Just trying to get a "rise" out of ya'... And yes... you would be surprised that my Father is a 60 year old Vietnam Vet Purple Heart recipient and my mom had my brother when she was 16 in the 70's.... so I know what you were referring to... I HAVE HEARD MANY STORIES!!! :metal::lol:

My brother is also 40... And like I said... no harm no foul.. .i just say stuff to people sometimes just to get a reaction... Not to be a d***. I feel you are the same type of personality as well... So now after talking more I like ya'!!!! Glad to make your acquaintance sir.

Ok, well hello. I er, get excited and say what I think at that second, and find a few second later that maybe I don't think that anymore.

You got the rise, so you get the last laugh on that one :)

No problem. I say what I mean, but I change my mind a lot. I often feel like a fool when people joke with me and I don't get it, but then I realize I've given them a good reason to laugh!

So if its all good, feel free to poke fun at me and I'll do the same (in my slow fashion) to you!

Yay! A not so PC friend! Happy, happy, joy, joy!!

You will also need the correct lower steering shaft.

Hello,
Is this still available? I am interested. What year and model did it exactly come out of? I am looking at installing it in my 1 ton Chevy Longhorn and it should work. The spline where the steering column connects/slides on, is it the smaller/30 or larger/36 spline? Did it have a pitman arm? Let me know,
R/

I bought a few of these in bulk a while back. I know it is for our year trucks just not sure what exact year. I purchased some 4x4 boxes too a while back. It is a 30 spline and I do not currently have any extra pitman arms...

Thanks,
Duane

That looks great, how do you insure you don't get any sand past the input or output shaft seals?

I'll Take it.
Thanks for getting back to me. I am going to go the Money order route. I will get that done up and let ya know. I looked at the steering box in the truck last night and it looked so dirty and grimmy. I already have the tools to swap the pieces over, so I am ahead of the game. Talk to you soon.
