How 'bout them steering wheels...
Post 'em up. The one that came in my shortbed isn't working for me. To ricey for my tastes. I'd like to replace it with a nice LeCarra or similar billet wheel.
What are you guys all running? http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphoto...30831836_n.jpg |

it's a talon wheel.. It'll be replaced with a lightweight longacre jobby on a quick release.. so i can get my fat ass in a kirkey a bit easier.

In my 78 I have a factory Chevy Cavallier wheel I got from the auto wrecker for $15. It wasnt my first choice because its a little too sporty for the truck, but it works. In my 1970, I just picked up a ForeverSharp billet wheel off Ebay. Its pretty darn nice for the price.

I have the same wheel in my 84, and it works real well and is easy to install. I bought mine through Yogi's, they seem to have a good price on them. |

I hve an Ebay billet on right now...I'm gonna go period correct..As a guy who grew up with these trucks when they were new..But,no way could afford one as a teenager...A fad that was hot back then in this area anyway .Was a small diameter wheel. 8" or 10" ....Grant makes a cool lookin 11 1/2 "....I get bored, I'll swap back and forth.

I built this one for my 65 C10. I welded the chain up and then coated the whole thing with plastidip spray. Gonna put the suicide knob on it once it's in the truck.

Re: How 'bout them steering wheels...
Mine is a Nardi made in italy. Found it at pic-a-part on an impala lowrider lucky it pulled off without a puller ( nut was even loose) The spokes were 24k gold plated which was peeling off so I sanded and polished the spokes. These retail in the $300+ range.
Total cost was $15 including the adapter! Still need a horn button http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/...ps49036a4b.jpg Posted via Mobile Device |
