?

I thought I would post the pics I got developed (& put on a disc) but I'm not having much luck.

I've posted pics before, but for some reason, it seems to want to upload the entire disc instead of just the chosen pics.

Any tips?

Specs are 3" BellTech spindles + 1 coil off the factory springs in front & Western Chassis flip kit + shock extensions out back.

No air yet . . . ......

18x8" w/5.25 backspace & 255/45's up front. 20x10" w/6" backspace (+ 1" wheel adapter) & 295/40's.

TIMSPEED 07-03-2003 01:16 AM

Damn dude, that truck looks AWESOME! Makes me wish I woulda went with 18's now :( Ohh well..Now I have to get my truck painted and dropped more! :D

SCOTI 07-03-2003 08:06 AM

After seeing the finished look, I would like 20's up front as well but since it will be driven daily, I just don't think 245/40's will take the abuse of the roads.

OH MY GOD! http://www.fordpower.net/forums/imag...s/drooling.gif You have got to be so pumped right now buddy. That came out awesome. The transformation is increadible. I drooled the first time you showed up in that truck, knowing how much potential was there. You just made my point with those pics. http://www.fordpower.net/forums/images/smilies/luv.gif

You are bringing it to HeatWave aren't you? It looks like it will be just you and me with trucks there from our group. That's cool though-http://www.fordpower.net/forums/imag...lies/cool2.gif

Definitely a huge improvement over stock!!! Love that color and those wheels.

Captkaos 07-03-2003 11:01 AM

DANG SCOTI! THAT IS SWEET!!!!!! I LOVE THAT! EXCELLENT JOB!

PHOENIX 07-03-2003 11:07 AM

Nice and clean!

SCOTI 07-03-2003 11:16 AM

I still need to weld up the mirror holes & fix a couple of small rust spots then buckets & interior next. 383 1pc seal roller cam motor after that.

Thanks guys . . .... it makes it worth the effort when your peers give ya' the thumbs up.

gldevall 07-03-2003 12:12 PM

Where did you get those mirrors? Awesome truck

BaggedC10 07-03-2003 12:25 PM

Awesome truck!

swervin ervin 07-03-2003 12:50 PM

WOW! The transformation is awesome. :D

Sweet.

SCOTI 07-03-2003 12:55 PM

Those are the small stock style mirrors I picked up from 'kevhill' out in Greenville, Tx. for free. They aren't perfect, but allowed me to @ least get rid of the dumbo ears that were on there. I'm still debating on whether to buy some from another board member (that came from LMC). I would like new ones to go w/my new bumpers, but w/LMC, quality parts are hit-N-miss & I've never seen their mirrors & can't find any NOS from dealerships.

Hope to get the bumpers swapped next week (still have to get the rear brackets).

C&C Chevy 07-03-2003 07:23 PM

Check these out SCOTI.

Chevy Duty

SCOTI 07-03-2003 07:29 PM

That's what I want, genuine GM stuff. I called to verify some info & their closed for the holiday weekend & re-open on the 7th. I'll have to wait until then.

Thanks for that link C&C.

C&C Chevy 07-03-2003 07:59 PM

No problem, and Sweet Truck !

brad2 07-03-2003 08:00 PM

I think I regret getting rid of all my trim now. I just got rid of the tabs for the trim on the back of the cab and filled the holes for the trim over the door. Otherwise I think I would put it back like yours. I LIKE IT.

C&C Chevy 07-03-2003 08:02 PM

brad, you could always pin stripe it to match the molding.

phantom dually 07-03-2003 09:02 PM

Why did you have to use a spacer at the rear?? Also are the tires and wheels turning without rubbing the fender well??

SCOTI 07-03-2003 10:01 PM

Why the spacers? Well . . ..... I'm a cheap f**ker. When I spend money, I want it to go a loooooooooooooong way. So, I bought the wheels in a car pattern w/the correct offsets for most GM's so if I get a chevelle, GTO, or camaro on down the line, they'll bolt right up or if I need to sell them I've got a lot more potential for buyers (plus they were originally for my 67 which has a car pattern).

Oh, just the rears use spacers. The front rotors are machined/re-drilled.

phantom dually 07-04-2003 11:38 AM

So the 5.25 backspacing is correct for the truck??

SCOTI 07-04-2003 12:08 PM

For the front, yes. That is the same 'front dish' that would be on a stock 7" corvettte ralley. The back spacing on a 7" ralley is 4.25 so I just had to add an inch to the inside measurements.

I've seen alot of people lately using longer upper arms (ex:Turners) to correct alignment/shim issues, but I try & keep the track width as close to stock (narrow as possible) because I hate it when the tires scrape the outer fender lips while turning. On my 67, the lower arms have the balljoint area sectioned & moved in about 3/4.

more like smart f***er than cheap f***er

SCOTI 07-05-2003 12:19 AM

SCOTI 07-05-2003 01:41 PM

Hhmmmm . . .... that's cool. I could live w/both of them in my driveway. But . . ..... which one to drive?? It would be tough to decide every morning :D .

Bobs76 07-05-2003 06:41 PM

Bumper brackets

SCOTI I have some brackets if you want em. I have an extra set just sitting here. I am hauling the truck (or whats left of it) to Mississippi on the 18th. If you want the brackets you can pick them up or just pay for the shipping. :metal:

SCOTI 07-06-2003 11:10 AM

Thanks.
