Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Any of you guys since or purchased this kit? Really interested in it and would like to know if anyone has installed it yet. Came out this summer from what the company says and some guys on the vette forums said its doing well.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Glad I saw your post, I was just about to buy a $920 TBI package on ebay that consists of a GM ECM, throttle body and harness. I cant see spending $2500 on a Holley or Edelbrock kit when I can pick up a entire LQ9 6.0L for a bit more $. I just contacted Pace to see if that FiTech kit will work with my 700R4 trans TV cable. I'm waiting for the tech to emailme back. Looks like it has a "holley" style throttle linkage which would be perfect for me since I'm using a TVmadeEZ kit for a holley. If it will work I'm gonna give it a try. TTT

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
From what I've read, on a corvette forum, the guy had no issue with his linkages, including his kickdown cable. Try to talk to Ken supposedly he is the guy to talk to for tech questions from what I've read of course

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
nice price that is livable price
|
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Several guys on chevelles.com have it up and running- when I looked a couple of weeks ago everyone was very impressed with the set up.
Differently worth considering in my book |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I too am interested in this new efi. I read some about it at FI Tech.com. Last night i did a little looking at fuel injection systems through Summit. Good grief! Some of those big name units are over $5000. Not for me.
This Fi Tech system sure sounds more reasonable. I want to see some real world reports from users, problems, etc. |

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I'm hoping to buy this system before the price goes up. They can hardly keep them in the shelf
I've yet to read any poor reviews |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
really am contemplating on ordering one this weekend
|
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
:four:Order placed. Now lets see how long it takes to arrive. Pics and review to follow. I'm pretty positive the in line fuel pump they sell is just a $90 Walbro GSL392 so I will save some money and put together the fuel system myself since I already have the correct fuel filters. Hardest part of this job will be installing a return line to my tank but that shouldn't be a big deal. Now I gotta get my lazy butt outside and get the return line installed before the FI arrives.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
FIRST is another option you might want to look into. This is the route I went last year and I'm very pleased with the unit. I've now got over 7000 trouble free miles. I think I have about $2000 in this. What make this TPI different than the factory unit? It will support about 500hp.
You can see more photos on my build thread below. https://www.firstfuelinjection.com/services.html http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...0/IMG_1140.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...0/IMG_1139.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...0/IMG_1022.jpg :gmc2: |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
That Pace system looks fairly doable for most of us out here. Simple and install figured out in advance.
I will be looking into this into the future. |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Well pulled the trigger and ordered one think it would be better suited for the 4x4

Placed the order Friday and received the kit on Monday. Still waiting for my fuel system to arrive. Turns out my fuel filters won't work with EFI so I endend up buying the inline fuel pump kit from FiTech after figuring out it would only save $30 buying everything from Summit or Ebay. Hope to have everything by this weekend. After the kit arrived I did receive an email from FiTech stating the throttle linkage is a "Holley" style linkage and it will work with my Bowtie Overdrive TVmadeEZ TV cable kit.
In the meantime here are some pics of the kit. |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Very cool!!!! I'll be interested to see the progress of your installation!

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Cost if I may ask? Did not see anyone post that part.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Looking forward to see how it comes out. Then if it all good I'm ordering mine lol

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I installed an MSD Atomic throttle body fuel injection kit on my Blazer a while back. No negative reviews, all positive when it first came out too, but now you can find a bunch. I suspect the same will happen with this set up once people install them and have a chance to get a few miles on them. My MSD Atomic now works as it should controlling my timing, fuel mix, and fans, but it took the installation of an in-tank fuel pump, locked out dizzy, ignition box, and two software updates from MSD to get there. I hope this kit gets it right straight out of the box.

Inline Fuel Pump kit. $290 after tax & shipping. I could have saved $20 in shipping had I orderd them at the same time. I'm gonna sell my near new Holley to recoup some funds and offset the cost. Quote:

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I just ordered one this afternoon for my 69 Camaro ZZ4. Shipment should be sometime next week.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Would a system like this work on an LS based engine? Say you have a carb style intake but toss this up on it and run your coils with custom wires to somewhere out of the way, back of the engine etc. That way for the casual looker when the hood is popped they think it's a carbed small block. Would this control the ignition on an LS or are you looking at two different controllers? Seen a bunch of engines set up similar and I kind of like the sneaky look.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
kinda what I thought, talked with the guys at FAST about a similar set up while I was at SEMA. They said the same thing, would need their module for the TB EFI set up and then another of their modules to control timing/spark, but they at least "talk" to one another and are programmable/tune able together.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I've read as much as I could find on the Fitech system, and it sure looks like a lot of bang for the buck. For what its worth, Holley is coming out with a $999 solution in the spring as well:
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...on/sniper_efi/ Not sure how the bells and whistles stack up between the two, but it is good to see competition driving the price down to an affordable range. |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
That Holley Sniper Kit looks very similar to FiTech. Holley's programmer screen display looks better. I would have preffered a trusted brand like Holley. March is just around the corner..Oh well, I'm waiting on a bulkhed fitting and I ready to go.
|
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
So where are these things being produced? The Holley sure looks like the FIteck with a facelift for sure.
|
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I've been watching FiTech reviews as well and reading whatever I can find about them, haven't seen a negative review yet. Their customer support gets a lot of praise. Nice to see Holley coming out with a competitively priced model, maybe MSD will follow.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I wonder if they will offer just the ecm with a harness in the future similar to the ez-efi retro-fit kits for people that already have multiport intakes. I have a mercruiser efi tunnel ram that i'm planning on installing on my truck in the future

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection

Completed my FiTech Go EFI 4 kit up and running and it was definatly the best $1300 I have ever spent on the truck.
I am 110% satisfied. Throttle response is outstanding, I don't think it could get any better. Truck is much faster! Feels like it went on a diet and lost 1000lbs. I have no doubt I just gained 50hp. I had a new Holley 670 Street Avenger that worked good but I don't have much experience tuning carbs. Engine fires right up on a cold day and no need to wait for the engine to warm up before driving. The touchscreen programmer is awsome. Its nice to see the AFR and accurate engine temp. I did have to modify the FiTech throttle bracket to work with my Bowtie Overdrive TvMadeEZ kit for my 700R4 transmission. The bracket looks just like a holley but it is thicker so I trimmed it up with a dremel tool cutting wheel and bent the tab a bit more. I reduced the diameter of the protruded ring and trimmed the tab, seen in red. Since I'm not tready to install an under bed tank I modified the fuel sender by drilling a 1/2" hole in the dimple and adding a 1/2" stainless pickup that I bent. Brazed it up with silver. Tried with silfos first but had no success, switched to products seen in picture and got it done. It was a very tight fit getting it in the tank but it worked. Bottom line this kit ROCKS! FiTech's customer service is excellent. I will never touch a carb again. |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Congratulations
How was the first fire up and learning process? Apparently the best deal on the market just got better too next month they release another unit good up to 400 hp for only $800!!! I may just have to do it even if I put it on my old tired motor |
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Glad to hear everything went well. I received a system about a week ago and will be installing it on top of a ZZ4 in my 69 Camaro. I'll report back when I have time to bolt it in.

Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
Since reading this today I have called Fitech twice today and done a ton of research. I am pretty sure I am going this route after christmas. Looks like a solid product, and I have tried till blue in the face to tune a dead spot out of my quickfuel 750. I am glad to see its price is within reason.
|
Re: Pace performance fitech fuel injection
I just watched a new video on their website where they mention that new 400hp unit. I don't know if I can resist buying one now. I just got my QuickFuel dialed in and have ALMOST eliminated my stumble (shows up every once in a while), but for $1190 all in with their command center, it's getting tough to justify tuning a carb anymore. Come on tax return!!! Anybody in the market for a lightly used QuickFuel HR-680??? :)
