Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

Just picked up another set of grille brackets. They are freshly powder coated and ready to go.I picked this up with the 73 Cheyenne Super parts truck that I just got. Not much good on the body. Bed was made into a trailer. Complete set of grille brackets $110, 454 emblem $20, Cheyenne Super 20 emblems $50. $75 for the seatbelts. Complete set of early headliner trim $100. Cheyenne Super Kick panels $60. Any other parts ask.

I could use the control arm shafts if you are interested in taking the crossmember apart.

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

I have no problem selling the parts but the work involved in removing them wouldn't be justified for what I could sell them for. Check with krazyray. He parts out a lot of these

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

Yeah they're brutal to remove, thanks for lead.

the title says 73 the post says 78 if it IS a 1073 I need those grille mounting brackets on the sides of the grille ( outer edges between the core support and the grille shipped to 07731 also interested in the lenses on the front turn signals

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

It is a 73. I fixed it. I was a little tired when I posted it. I just wanted to get it up and wasn't paying good enough attention. The grille isn't any good. as it is missing a piece where the hood release it. The lenses aren't great. Probably useable but not great. I should have some 73-74 lenses here though. I don't want to sell the side brackets separately as I generally sell the 73-74 sets together.

How are the doors and fenders?

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

when you say separately do you mean with the core support? or as a set with the center grille support?

1774btcrew 12-02-2015 11:31 AM

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

The cab is actually pretty good. The doors and fenders aren't though as they all have small rust bubbles.

I sell them separate from the core support but as a complete set of brackets to mount the early grilles. I do know where a couple 73s are at the wrecking yard but for what they charge, I couldn't justify going to get them to resell. Most of our you pull it yards are pretty high. A lot of the stuff is priced okay if you are buying for yourself but to resell , it just doesn't leave much for profit.

More prices added. I am heading over to where the truck is in a few minutes. Let me know if there is something you are interested in and I will check it out.

how many miles does the truck have? does this have the steering box that's 3 or 4 turns lock to lock? I am looking for a 3 turn.

1774btcrew 12-03-2015 05:14 PM

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

I doubt the steering box is any good. The truck was pretty worn out.

I will check while I am CA this weekend. I can't see you having to buy a whole set. I just can't separate
mine. I have several of the center supports already that don't have the side pieces.

How about the passenger inner fender and radiator core support... cancer free?

1774btcrew 12-05-2015 10:58 AM

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

I am currently out of town for the Pomona Swapmeet. The core support is good from what I have seen. Would need to really check it over. I know that I have good inner fenderwells as I save them when they aren't rusty. Shipping would be pretty high though

Still have the grille support backets? I understood you sell them as a set.

That is what I am looking for so let me know shipping to 48306

Does it have a woodgrain bezel around the gauges?

What do you need for the 454 emblem?

Nate

EDIT: Sorry I just realized you have $20 on it. Do you have any close up pictures of it?

1774btcrew 03-13-2016 01:43 PM

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

It is a woodgrain truck but the bezel is long gone. It is really hard to find these for the early trucks with woodgrain as it was a 2 year bezel and only the higher optioned ones had it. Let me see if I still have the 454 emblem. We did a c10 truck swapmeet here in town and I sold quite a bit of stuff. I put what was left in storage.

Have you had a chance to look for the 454 emblem?

Thanks, Nate

I do have it. Since the truck still has the motor in it though I can't justify pulling it. Sorry I couldn't help.

Looking for a few sets of '73-'74 outside door handles in decent shape. I like the early ones that the back is solid. Not the ones that have the open channel cast in.

Thanks, Nate

1774btcrew 11-03-2016 10:47 PM

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

Nate, I like them the best too. They are reserved for my crew cab for that reason. I MAY have another pair. I need to look. I will be at the shop tomorrow.

If you still have them, what condition are the headlight bezels in?

1774btcrew 11-07-2016 12:10 AM

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

The headlight bezels weren't good. Pitted and rough. I have a few good ones at the shop though. How nice are you looking for?

c1087 11-07-2016 10:01 PM

Re: Parting out 73 Cheyenne Super 20

I'm trying to find a set with as little pitting as possible. Hoping to get a set that are nice enough to be worth having re-plated when I get into doing the body and paint on my '76. The ones on the truck now are pitted pretty badly and probably would not be worth trying to save. I don't really like the idea of using plastic aftermarket bezels either, so a nice used set seems to be the best starting point for me.
