Thanks for following along guys. I found my camera that I thought I lost in the move to Illinois so I hit the mother load for older pictures I had taken. Here are more of when I brought it home.

First thing I started working on was cutting out the rot I had in my floor boards and kick panel areas.

The other Problem areas I had for rust were the Cab Corners, Inside window channels, and inner fender areas in the rear. I cut out all that I could and welded in replacement panels. Sorry for the low quality pictures.

I wanted to do a mustang II style front end but my budget wasn't there at this point of the build. Someday I may go back and put something together but for now it is stock rebuilt.

Cool, Marc's build and Chizzlers Burb build convinced me to get started on mine.

Nice repairs you are doing!

Checked out Chizzlers builds, man there is some cool stuff on this site.

Here is the massive power plant that went in the burb ;) 235 out of a 1954 panel truck backed by a T5 out of an S10.

Rear end is out of a 1968 C10 rebuilt with 3.73 gears should drive nice down the high way at decent RPM

Some of you are going to hate me for this but I decided to go away from the original seats and went with buckets and rear bench out of a 2004 Avalanche. Plan is to get them reupholstered down the road. I modified a platform out of a parts cab I had and built the brackets so they are hidden under something that looks original to someone that doesn't know any better. unfourtunantely I dont have a picture of the finished project but it turned out pretty nice.

Scored a nice reproduced grill from a guy that was using it as wall art for a pretty decent price. I am going to repaint the splash bars black from the cream but other then that it is perfect.

Burb and some parts finally in primer. Feels awesome to see all that work and have it in one color for the first time ever.

Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build

Looks great. Did you also bed line the underside of the body? I plan to use a similar product called lizard skin. I plan to coat the underside of the body as well as the fenders and running boards.

Are these pics current or did you already finish your burb? I think that it is great that there are (4) active burb builds and each one has a unique approach to the finished product.

Fast forward to the present day. Paint is on the truck and I am really happy with the color choice.

Re: 1952 Chevy Suburban Build

I like the color....Very nice. Did you do the paint and body work yourself?

I sprayed Chasis Saver on the underside of the whole truck. I was pretty impressed with that stuff so I just went for it rather than bed liner. I used bed liner for the inner fenders, inside the actual fenders, and the floorbeds.

Yeah it's cool that there are some active builds awesome to see how others are approaching their builds. Mine isn't finished yet. I did the body work to the best of my ability (not that great) and left it with a neighbor in Colorado that has over 25 years in the industry. I am driving out with my trailer this weekend to grab it. Pretty excited to get it back and get back after it.

Did anyone have issues with fitment of the windsheild weatherstrip? I have a few areas where the gasket is to big for the frame.

Money and gathering parts is going to slow me down dont worry fellas.

I picked up a set of steel wheels and some baby moons recently so I will be behind a sandblaster getting rid of the red and getting those powder coated this weekend.

Finished body work on the last door. Who ever owned the door before cut a six inch hole for a speaker. I did a pretty bad job welding this so it took a lot of work to get it presentable.
