1970 c80
Would love to find a 1970 body style c80 truck. If anybody knows where one is, I would appreciate the help finding one.

Re: 1970 c80
I didn't think a c80 was anything different than just a c50 with a bigger chassis or something until I looked it up and saw the unique front end. I remembered to take note of any of i ever saw one since they are unique.
Today is your lucky day, and not terribly far away, or at least for it to be hauled over. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...6433069942892/ I hope it works out. |
Re: 1970 c80
There actually wasn't a C-80. The largest truck with the '67-'72 pickup style cab was the C-60. There was a Chevy H and J 80, these trucks used the larger GMC built cab. The truck in the Facebook ad is an H-80.

Re: 1970 c80
Interesting difference between the Chevy H-80 and the GMC 8500. The 8500 was a 9500 with a smaller engine and had the tell-tale 9500 split windshield. The Chevy 80 has a 1-piece windshield like a GMC 7500.
Interesting truck by the way. It doesn't say, but it's either a '68 or '69. Would make a great Rollback. |

Re: 1970 c80
Like Bob B correctly stated, there was no C 80 in the 67-72 era, the C 60 was the top dog. However, not all C 60's are created equal. Assuming you want the heaviest 2 axle with air, look for the C60 with a 32K GVW, many were built in the 25K-28K range with juice brakes.
