0-60 times using my Dragy.

Yesterday I had a chance to play with my Dragy and recorded some 0-60 times.
It was much warmer than last time I tried this. It makes a big difference.
The tires just connect better when it's warmer.
Best time was 5.2 seconds to 60. When it was a colder, 45 deg out, my best time was 6.2 seconds. I am much happier with the new time.
My best 1/8 mile time was 8.78 sec at 81.42mph. Should work out to a 13.69 in the quarter.
Best times were part throttle takeoffs as in first gear it's a smoke show otherwise.
No room for a wider tire unless I do the tubs in the bottom of the bed. I have a set of drag radials, on wheels, I plan on trying next time out. I inculded pictures of the tire width and the ground track width. I ran the tire pressure down a little to 25 psi hoping it would help but never measured it afterwards. How low can I go on rear tire pressure using the existing tires? To clairify not the drag tires.
Been fun learning how to leave the line on this truck. Limited tire width, and no weight make leaving the line a challenge.
Cheers.

That is Real Good:metal:
I worked with a guy that lives down the road.

He kept records of temperature, barometric pressure, tire pressure and everything anyone could think of.

At a Local track, He won the Championship in his class many years in a row.

I remember him telling me that placing (moving ) weight around in different location till he found the right amount and spot was his biggest gain in his ET.

He nailed down his consistency, that's how he was able to win all the time.

I just got a dragy to play around with, but haven't tried it out yet. Did you ever run the drag radials?

I tried the drag radials. They are only 15" diameter. Honestly they didn't make much difference. Maybe because I didn't get them warm enough. They would go up in smoke just like the "Bridgestones". Truck sure looked funny lower in the rear.
I have new CNC heads and a Fast Intake and a high stall torque converter to install.
Good 1/8 mile times are all tied to one's 0 to 60 foot times. Will be interesting to see if the extra power helps at all or just makes a better smoke show. Looking for 400hp at the wheels. The local tuner/dyno guy that completed my original tune will check/re-tune the motor for $150. A lot of money and work and it will likely not beat a non-performance Tesla, to 60, as their time is 4.8 seconds.

So it was an overall shorter tire, what size?

I'm on 295/40/20s so about 29" tall. I have Nitto 555 G2s, not sure what compound they are but I'm sure there's better stuff out there (ie MT ET Street)

Good luck with the upgrades and retune. Yep, those Tesla's are quick, but the styling leaves a lot to be desired (at least for me) and we're starting with a 50+ year old trucks, so don't sweat it if he gets you off the line. People like smoke shows, too :)

I have not had any luck with this thing. "Low Sats" error no matter what I do.
Clear skies, fully charged battery, on the charger, off the charger, multiple vehicles, resetting the app, reinstalling the app. A little ticked cause I'm outside my amazon return window. I knew I should have tried it sooner
