1962 GMC K1000 Suburaban rear cab supports
Does anyone have rear cab supports for 1962 Suburbans? I assume they are the same for GMC and Chevrolet and for 2WD and 4WD.
I'm talking about the support that bridges the inner rocker panel and the body behind and goes from the inner rocker about 10" or so. The front ones are like pickups, but I don't think the rear ones are. |

I had to make them for my 65. 2 piece welded together down the centerline? took 3 tries to get the shape and angles right. Good luck.

Not sure if 62 GMC and 65 Chevy were the same. I started with poster board and cut forms till they fit well then transferred to metal. If your interested I'll dig the poster board stencils out and take pictures and send to you with measurements. If I remember right there were 3 layers to the outside vertical, lower pillar furthest out, then inner rocker, then body support.
