05 GMC Yukon xl coolant overflow tank.
My wife's 05 GMC Yukon Denali xl has a leaking over flow tank.I purchased a new one I noticed the new one and the old one have an area that you can plug a sensor in.I have searched high and low for the pigtail and can't find it.My 02 Silverado has it loomed in with throttle body wiring.I have unraveled the throttle body wiring on Yukon and can't find no evidence of snipped wires.Did they move that sensor to a different spot in 05 or am I dealing with someone else's butchery?

Comparing the new to old one I noticed the old one is completely missing the plug in altogether so maybe they relocated it in 05.IMG_20220611_095542476.jpg

It might not originally have that sensor at all.

Re: 05 GMC Yukon xl coolant overflow tank.
I got an owners manual for it and it looks like they may have done away with the low coolant warning light in 05.Kind of a stupid move in my opinion.

But it saved $1 per unit over several million units.

FWIW there could have also been cases of leaks or faulty sensors driving warranty cases and it was cheaper to eliminate the sensor than validate a new supplier or version of sensor. Been there done that...
