My core support is rotted away from under the battery, can you guys tell me if they're symmetrical in the bottom corners before I start trying to fabricate a new piece please? Thanks as always

There are patch panels available. See the thread below.

Yeah I’ve seen the patch panels but mine is so badly damaged that they’re nowhere near big enough

I replaced the support on my 68 fitment was spot on . Wasn’t near as bad as yours if you want to retain the original you could use a repro as patch panels .

I would happily use a repro but the shipping cost to the UK is absolutely crazy due to the size of it, more than trebbling the cost!!

I just recently finished this task on my 66 core support to the two cornerswhere it rests on the frame. Not the easiest task without a bender/brake but it came out really well. In hindsight I might have benefitted time wise getting a new one but it's not a race and the satisfaction of a good repair offsets the frustration

I've made them myself in the past. Not too hard, especially if you're not too picky like me! Good luck, Rg

Like some others, I made mine from some leftover sheet metal I had laying around. This is an area not easily seen, so wasn't too worried about cosmetic appearance, and money saved and I could spend elsewhere on the truck.

Didn’t look at the location . There are no distribution facilities in the UK ? Seems strange that a Chinese part would have to be shipped from the US to the UK

You may want to consider the patch panel. It completes the difficult bends at the bottom. The rest may be flatter and easier to deal with. However, with out knowing your skills and resources my recommendation may be just that, a recommendation that is based on my skills.
Best of luck.

Maybe figure out the dimensions of the patches needed. Maybe someone on here could cut them to size from a support offered on the parts page. Or someone with a semi usable one they have laying around. If not able to get all of them, you might get enough to make it easier to fabricate. Just an idle thought floating through my meager mind.

Unfortunately we have no suppliers over here of any C10 parts, I bet there are only a few hundred C10s in the whole country so probably not viable for a company to stock them.

I think this is the way I'm going to do it, I'm over there in a couple of weeks so will pick one up and add it to the pile of other bits I'll be bringing home!
