I recently sold my 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz and bought a 1997 2-door tahoe originally out of Texas. I wanted something older that I could work on. This is my daily driver now with 171,000 miles on it. I am planning 3-phases of the build.
Phase 1: Get her dry, she has some fluid leaks and get her solid mechanically. - New Intake Manifold Gaskets [Complete] - Cap and Rotor [Complete] - New tires (265's) [Complete] - Clean headlights [Complete] - Fluid Changes - Near Rear shaft Seal for Transmission - New Transmission gasket and filter - Flush Coolant - New Door bushings [Partial Complete] - Don't ask. - New Exhaust (p.o. hacked it up and has exhaust leak) - Clean ac/heater box - Fix Bezel around ghetto stereo and replace Speakers [Complete] - New Front end (Ball joints, pitman arm, etc.) [Partial Complete] - New Rear Brakes Phase 2: New Interior - Center Console out of late model Taho [Complete] - New Carpet - New Doorpads - Fresh all trim pieced and replace broken ones - Re-cover headliner - Upgraded Speakers and stereo - Keyless Entry FOBS - Upgrade all interior lighting with LED's - New seat bottoms for Front seats - New Instrument Cover lense Phase 3: Paint and body work - Fix dents - Paint - New Molding - New Rear bumper - New HID Lights - Roof Rack and relocate Spare to Roof Rack - Old School KC Style lights on roof rack |
