Off topic 04 Bonneville gauges
I have a friend that is having trouble with his 04 Bonneville gauges. He says he needs to send the whole cluster to someone to fix and found a company called Mr. Speedometer in Missouri that will do the work. Anyone had any experience with this???

Re: Off topic 04 Bonneville gauges
sometimes the circuit board goes haywire behind the dash cluster ,so maybe the speedo needs recalibration or repair to speedo head ,when i work at dealership for ford we used to sub work out to speedo shops to do repair if we didnt send them

Re: Off topic 04 Bonneville gauges
sounds like a stepper motor lost it's baseline (zero setting)
many times I fix it by useing my scan tool with bidirectional commands to do a "sweep test" . usually costs the customer ~$30 and takes 10 minutes. |

Re: Off topic 04 Bonneville gauges
the little motors that run each guage needle is a common problem too. Call around to some local shops (not dealers) and see if they have a guy who fixes them. He have a cat that comes in and does them, he works stupid fast, pretty cheap, and we've never had him not do one properly.
