1972 2wd Blazer
Hi I am new to this forum but I have purchased a 1972 2wd Blazer that is going to need quite a few replacement panels. I have already purchased the fenders, rocker panels, inner rocker panel, the rocker boxes, rocker box end plates and support. What I am going to need is to find floor pan other than patch panels for the front, and a bed floor, from what I have seen the shortbed truck bed floor is to long any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks will download pix soon.

Re: 1972 2wd Blazer
I don't know of anyone that sells a Blazer floor pan. I bought a truck floor pan from GMC Paul's and I can use about 85% of it.
Here's the page that the floor pan is on. It's the 6th item down on the list. http://www.gmcpauls.com/Patch_Panels.htm http://www.gmcpauls.com/pictures/677...oorwbraces.jpg |
Re: 1972 2wd Blazer
If you go with a full floor pan, which would a good choice, make sure you get one with the forward seat brace. The one pictured doesnt have one

Hey thanks for the info. Would like to know if i should weld in support braces in the door openings and across the bed to keep things in place when i start the replacement of the rocker boxes and floor pan patch panels. Also looking at using a rotissereie that a friend has to do this work will this help everything stay inline? thanks for everyones input on this

Re: 1972 2wd Blazer
If you want to be safe I would brace the tub. If you are going to use a rotisserie, I would brace it for sure.

I actually used some of the truck floor and two new floor pans. I cut the bad part off the back of the blazer and measured the truck floor and cut and welded. O yea it's easier with the quarters off.
