Clay stuff
Has anyone else used that really fine clay to pick the mineral spots up? It's a painfully slow process on trucks, but boy does it do well. Does someone have any tips or disagreements?

Is there a special brand or where do you get it and how is it done?

Claying is sooooo easy!. Basically you use a detail spray for the lubricant. Do a one square foot area or so at a time. Mist on, rub the bar back and forth, wipe off with a cloth. Do the entire vehicle this way after it has been washed. Now when you wax it goes on and comes off much easier!. I've been doing it this way for 15 years. I used to do mobile detailing. I like Clay Magic brand and 3m. You can find clay kits at local parts stores and body shop supply houses. The nice thing about it is you lift the contaminants out of the paint instead of just waxing over them!

a few other things, make sure you keep the area that you are claying well lubricated, or else it will scuff the paint. you can also just use the soap you wash your truck with as a lubricant instead of detail spray. its also a good idea to keep it in the shade so it wont dry up. when your done you'll need to wax the truck because it will take the wax off the truck as well.
