Anyone use a tuner, and get good results?

I have a 2015 2500 HD 4x4 with the 6.0 gas engine, and 6 speed transmission. It eats about as much gas as you'd expect. I've been told tuners can make the truck "learn" to dispense fuel more efficiently. Is this true? Is there any tuner that will provide a worth while increase in mpg, and general performance? Thanks.

every truck i have owned with the 6.0 has never been good on gas 10-14 mpgs top. I don't think there is anyway to make it better than what they get even with some type of tune.

They can help if your truck doesn't like the factory tune particularly, but usually you get more power at the same mpg.

My old 2500 rclb service bed truck liked running at 2500rpm in 5th vs the 2000rpm in 6th. On the hwy it would do about 1 mpg better since it had the power to heavy truck better. I got between 12.5, and 14 mpg.

You have a 4x4. Did you add aggressive tires or a lift?
What is your factory differential ratios?
Do you have a cross bed tool box?

The truck is mostly stock, with factory tires and suspension. I dont know the gear ratio.

My 2011, with the same L96 and 6L90E that your 15 has, gets 10-12 mixed, 14.5 on the highway, and 6 when towing 8,000 pounds.

Want good fuel mileage? Then don’t buy a 3/4 ton truck.

I've thought about that. But I do pull livestock, and large equipment trailers from time to time. A 1/2 ton would get destroyed, pulling some of the loads I've pulled. I sometimes wonder if the 3/4 ton is enough. Perhaps a smaller car for around town wouldn't be the worst idea.
