*Polish & Waxing*

Never really thought about it and kinda thought they may be one in the same. Boy was I wrong. I read up on what the difference was so thought I would give it a try. I cleaned my truck and used Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Polish first. I followed this up with Ultimate Liquid Wax. What a difference. The Polish seem to take out some of the small imperfections and made the paint feel a little smoother. Don't know how often I'll do this because at 66 It took me most of the day and I was spent after I finished this process. My 49 Chevy looks better than it ever has.

Wow that looks great. Polish is a paint correction step. Wax is a protectant. Now if you really want to see how smooth your paint can get. Use a clay bar, when washing your vehicle, and then polish. Your paint will be slicker than snot!

When I do my truck, I just use the detailer spray with the clay bar. I don’t actually “wash” my truck either. |
Re: *Polish & Waxing*
I've been using Zaino polishes and products for years on all of my vehicles. Lasts longer than waxes and always comes out awesome.
https://www.zainostore.com/ For the clay bar, I just mix a little zaino wash with water in a spray bottle. Good lubricant and much cheaper than detailing spray. |

zippi inspired me so i did Megs ultimate compound followed by ultimate polish and then since the truck is garaged, a coat of Pinnacle Souveran carnuba wax. The last time I did Zaino on it was like 2 years ago and believe it or not it was still beading.
