I would agree. He's doing well. Especially for being a young-gun.

Kids showed some initiative.
He wasn't feeling the 2 link plan.
So triangulated 4 link it is.
And was gifted this 9 inch housing.
Got a 2.91 gear and a 31 spline locker for it.

Any reason not to do the upper links like this and the lower outside the rail?

Re: 2wd swap

I did my uppers inside and lowers outside. Did it to push the bags out further.

Thanks.
I think we're gonna do a triangulated deal.

So no more 4 link thoughts?

Anyways back to the front end.
We raised the upper pivot 1" and cycled the suspension 7 inches has -4° of camber change and 3/8 toe at full bump from ride height.

As long as the upper links have enough angle for keeping things centered, where the lowers go is likely decided by project packaging. Keeping the links & springs as far outboard as possible should be a benefit to stability. If there's room outboard of the frame, that's how I would do it.

Re: 2wd swap

Tentatively using the stock spring hanger as the lower link pivot.
And boxing the inside of the frame at the hanger for upper link off the diff housing.

Using the OE hangers is how I'd do it as well. Sounds like a solid plan.

Some stuffs.
Raising the floor up 3" makes room for diff and suspension links.

Welding lots of Welding.
I think he is going to hate plumbing these.
But the bag plates fit up was terrible so he cut them up and welded them in.

I believe the lower bag bolt won't be as much of a issue as these grease zerks.
