It is tricky to say a specific number for what they’re worth, but as for anything they are only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Well of Course they are....

I should have asked in comparison to the same year small truck in 1/2 -3/4 ton pickup trucks

If these were 1/2 ton pickup trucks in the condition they are in they would get premium prices $$$$$. Were talking complete, running, minor rust if any.

IMO, larger commercial vehicles suffer from zonings laws, can't be sight in most cases in residential areas. They don't fit in typical garages, so there is a problem with storage. This effects the market for these vehicles, much less competition. If you live and work your vehicle on a farm, that's great you can find some great values, especially on grain trucks. IMO, there usually worth a quarter of a comparable year pickup.

I would say about 1/4 to 1/3 the value of a comparable condition 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton.

I have 49 Studebaker farm truck. I put an engine and trans from a 72 Chevy C50 grain truck that was being parted out. The dump bed still works, even though I could not find a PTO for the right side of my NP trans. The one on the left side wouldn't work because the gas tank was in the way. I converted to electric over hydraulic.

My truck is a bit unusual because it honestly has zero rust..... even the cab corners. It sat inside a barn in the high desert in SD for decades. It is far from pristine.

I only paid $2300 for it. Tires were all dry rotted, but held air. The engine had a slight knock. The head developed a crack. Even though a new head was cheap (its a flat head, so no valves or other moving parts) the decision to go with Chevy power train was an easy one for me.
