1990 SS 454 Engine 50 actual miles

I am trying to decide if I want to use this engine in a build or sell it. It was from a rail damaged truck. No real damage on the truck but had to be dismantled. It had 50 miles on the Odometer. What is it worth? it is complete with wiring and ECU.

I don’t know the worth…but in my opinion as long as the truck didn’t land upside down or on its side I would grab everything I could if the price was right and go full steam ahead.

What are the plans if you do use the motor?

I’d be a little leery if it has just been sitting since the truck was new since 1990.

I thought I may use it in a 1971 4X4 project since it is a lower horsepower motor.

It probably would need a few seals but it has been stored inside all of those years.

I have no idea what that would be worth since it’s new….but really old. You don’t see that very often. It is a mkIV though so it has that going for it. You can’t hardly give the gen 5’s away around here. It it were me I’d put it in the 71. Actually I’d probably tear it apart and spend a bunch of money trying to hot rod it, but I bet it would be a great motor for that 71 as is.
