2003-2006 HD hood
 

Where can I find them? My brother got 1500 2003 Silverado and he wants the HD hood and grille and I cant find them online

It is my understanding that starting in '03, all Silverado's got the same hood, meaning that there was no HD hood after '02.

I was upset to learn that there was no HD hood for the GMCs that I learned AFTER I bought a GMC, but I still prefer the Sierra over the Silverado & the Silverado HD hoods can be modified to fit the GMCs, so that is the route I plan to take. Maybe the earlier HD hoods can be modified to fit your brothers truck too.

The hood and Grille your looking for GM installed on 05,06, and 07 classic Silverado 2500 and 3500. They also started installing them in 06, and 07 Classic 1500's. I would say if you look for a hood for a 06 online you should be able to come across them, as that was the only hood GM installed on the Silverados in 06. I've used some aftermarket ones before in some of the lower end collision repair I've done for customers. They are pretty good as long as you stick to a better quality aftermarket. The same thing goes for the grille. Good luck in your searches.
