1987 GM V25 Pickup Truck 3/4 ton
I bought this vehicle for its frame. The title says it's a V25. What does V25 mean. I've only seen K20. Thanks.

GM changed the nomenclature in 87'. R is 2WD and V is 4x4.

This thread is from a long time back, but it left me wondering.
Why "25"? I've only heard of 10, 20, and 30, on the R/V trucks. Was 25 really a thing? |

Marketing magic.
Need a perceived boost? Go from "20" to "25". Or better yet - "2500". K |

Cracks me up that a "truck joint" like LMC still doesn't list R's and V's.
