02 burb leaking from sun visor?

during the torrential downpours we had here in SC yesterday i ran out to the burb to grab something and the entire passenger seat/door/dash was covered in water. i looked up and it was coming from the outter hinge of the sun visor.

is it a sunroof leak? windshield leak? how would i go about trying to find it? the crazy part is we've owned it for 3 years and have only noticed a little water dripping in and thought nothing of it. also there is no sagging in the visor/headliner.

If the truck was not level, like parked on a hill in a heavy rain, the drain tube on the low side cannot move that much water and it will leak in. The drain tubes could be blocked also.blow compressed air though the tubes from the bottom up so you are pushing the crud out the way it went in. The ditch on the sunroof frame is about 1/4" high so in a heavy rain with half blocked tubes = water leak;)

well it wasn't parked on a hill or anything. maybe a slight degree or so decline driveway.

where are these tubes that you speak off?

With the sunroof open you can see the front drain tubes holes, the front tubes run inside the A pillars and dump behind the wheel liners. The rears run inside the C pillars and dump in the rear wheel house or the inner rockers. dirt gets in the tubes and makes a dam.

common issue other then clogged tubes is the little rubber sleeve that connects the drain tube to the sunroof gets loose and leaks or falls off when blowing the crud out. gm fix is a zip tie to hold it tighter ti the sunroof tube.
