Dumb question of the day!
I'm new to the 4 x 4 scene although I own a couple of 1972 4 x 4 Blazers. I just bought a rolling chassis with a 8" lift and 3/4 ton running gear. I don't like the looks of the different offset from the front end and rear end. My question is there any front (what do you call it?) axle that is the same width as the rear that I could put on it that would bolt on? Thanks for any help.

Re: Dumb question of the day!
all of the front axles that are easy to find and bolt in will be the same width. if you can find a 3/4 ton van 14 bolt it will be wider than the current rear. they are 70 inches wms-wms. that is actually half an inch wider than the front but that wont be as noticable as the the 2 inch difference that it has now.
they are not a "bolt in" swap. you will have to re-position the spring perches. there will be several other things that may have to be addressed such as the brakes and parking brake and pinion yoke. |

Re: Dumb question of the day!
while not my favorite option, there are some well made wheel spacers on the market that you could use to get the rear out an inch on each side. alot less hassle and likely less costly.

Or you could do rear wheels with a deeper offset, and front wheels too
