Help with LS swap radiator hose

Trying to see if anyone can help me with the radiator hoses for my 67 C10 with 6.0 motor LS swap.

I’m running an Entropy radiator, With the passenger side outlets and according to them I needed a lower hose off a Silverado and an upper off a Mitsubishi.

In short, that’s a FAIL. It’s not even close.

I don’t even know where to begin to try to figure it out.

Any help is appreciated.

I cant speak for certain on the top, but I know on the bottom you have to cut it to fit. Did you cut it to only use the part needed?

I would assume the same appies to the top one as well.

on my 81 I made wire templates from tig rod ...carried those to the parts store to help match up what I needed... had to shorten top hose...bottom hose is 2 pieces..
doubtful there will be a hose that fits perfect with no mods

I used 1996 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 upper and lower hoses trim a little of the ends and perfect fit. I used a rnd rad bit outlets should be the same size

The lower outlet on the Entropy is angled up. Is it the same on the RND?

Thanks!

Do you have the inlet/outlet size on the rad?

1-1/2 on the lower, 1-1/4 on top

After a ton of searching it looks like a Gates 21439 might work on top....but the angled lower outlet is really complicating things for the hose.

Here is what I used with my 6.0 and Entropy.

Upper Gates 21439
Lower Gates 20687

Had to cut the lower, but they both fit great. You can look at my build thread to see them

Thanks so much....I ordered today. Another question-are you using the top port above the upper hose outlet for your steam vent?

Yes, I used the stock hose clamp to clamp it to the upper radiator hose. It needs to relearn its shape a little, but it lays pretty well. This pic was a test fit before I clamped it all.

Excellent thanks so much for the info.

Where did you get the clamp? Is it off a late model Silverado?

My motor came out of a Yukon Denali, so not sure if the Silverado has the same clamp or not.

Re: Help with LS swap radiator hose

I found this thread and I have the Cold-Case LS swap radiator.
GMT558ALS which has a 1.5" in and out.
To get the Gates hoses to fit I bought an adapter.
ICT Billet 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" Inch Hose Barb Splice Coupler

Not sure why Cold-Case puts an 1.5 inch upper, when the LS engine is 1.25, so now I'm adding a reducer aka adapter, to the hose. :waah:
I down loaded the Gates catalog and Gates Radiator Hose - 20801 might be an alterative, but I have not held that hose in my hands. But it is 1.5 to 1.25

I have the two gates hoses mention above.
