For our April 2020 Truck of the Month (ToTM) contest the theme is
Not Quite Clapped-out Rust and dust maybe their dominant feature. This month’s contest theme is based on those trucks that are rude, crude, and vehicles that are far from show or nice. Here is the criteria for this month’s contest.
o Missing panels
You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum, at least one full view of the vehicle and one showing the engine. In addition, we will need the owner’s board name and the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. Nominations will run through March 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest We will need two pictures minimum (at least one full view of the vehicle) with/for the nomination as well as the owner’s board name, the Make/Model/Year of vehicle. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Poll Thread will be set up March 25 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The Poll will run thru the morning of April 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of April 1. The announcement of the ToTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area. |

This is Rusty (the redneck reject) 1960 Chevrolet C10 Apache short bed step side Currently owned by me - long term project (15+ years at this point) - street legal in the state of California (for as long as they will let me ) Issues : Missing a rear bumper Definitive road force ventilation system ( rust ; floors, roof, anywhere it can) it has cherry bombs ( straight pipes) with a side dump exhaust and you can hear me before you see me, but the oil leaks will have you seeing me long after im gone several different colors ( black fender, grey paint, accents, on top of the green, grey, and red) and now moss.... I'll play. Perfect category for my rig. Features - dents and rust in every panel, few with same color, professional duct tape windshield seal, everything works except window washers (wipers, horn, blinkers, heater, etc, etc). It's a 1966 C10 LWB 250 6 cyl, 3 on the tree. Base model - only one visor, no arm rests, etc.

My ramp truck fits this.
Titled as a 67 but has 68 front fenders. It has it's share of the pantina look and rust. The rockers are all but shot and holes in the floor not to mention the hood and fenders! But I LOVE it!:chevy: |

My and my sons 83 k2500 suburban 6.2.
Sat for 18 years in the desert, rescued it a couple months ago. Changed the oil, and put some fresh fuel and it fired right up believe it or not. Since then I have replaced the cooling system (34" wide radiator can you believe that!?) Putting miles on it now to sort the bugs out (and pick up missing parts). First 3 are as it sat when we got it, and 2 of it now. Don't have any current interior shots, but the difference now is the steering wheel is on. Bring on the apocalypse. I believe we have this criteria covered: - Anything that might make someone afraid to go near it. |

Re: April 2020 ToTM
Thanks Bill. I have been working on her for about 15 years. Summer daily driver. New engine, Brakes, Suspension, Lowered front and back and loads of rust. Just lots and lots of bodywork left to do. Give me another 15 years and she might look pretty by then. The only finished panels are the two black ones fender and cowl. LOL. Cheers!

The closer you get the more you see that might scare you away. And it's only got about five or six colors showing in places. It's a '67 with 350/TH400 I,ve owned for 23 years.
