Danbury Mint Gold 66 C10 Die cast

My Christmas present to myself came today! I must say I am impressed in the quality and detail. It is a 1966 SWB, BBW, Gold two tone, V8, factory air, etc... all the options including dash mounted clock. The seat even looks correct. Nicest Die cast I have seen for our period of truck.

I would highly recommend. I know there is a die-cast section, but I wanted to share this with everyone who might be interested in one of these.

Ditto on that...That very nice. A shot of the undercarriage and is there a GMC variant as well?
How much do they run?

There is a youtube video, search 1966 Danbury mint c10 ( not sure how to add the link sorry ). There is only a chevy version as far as I know. They Run about $140.00, pricey but they are very detailed and very nice. Not like the 29.99 versions you pick up at the truck stop.

I wish I had 140 bucks to put into my real truck.
Those are really cool though, love the detail.

I usually find scale models look out of proportion. Yours looks rather realistic.
Nice.

I know money is tight for me too, but I seldom splurge on myself....

sigshooter that looks sweet and very good detail. I myself collect 1/18 diecast cars (over 40 of them). Shoot I'll play too and show 2 65s -low cost- fleet side and stepside....

Nice. I haven't seen a gold one yet - only the blue/white one.
Greg.

my next model build is going to attempt to make my truck in 1/24th scale. building models has been a hoby of mine since i was about 12. if you have alot of paitience they can look quite real here is my last 2 i built. these take about 100 hours to build but so rewarding when done.

Danbury Mint does great work. They are absolutely blueprint correct in proportion. I have the blue one and would love this gold one. I always liked real gold trucks. These are pricey, but you make payments and that really helps. I just don't get offers any more since I dropped out of the game. I sold most of my Franklin and Danbury Mint stuff, except the GM trucks.

Just stumbled onto this:

I have seen the dark blue ones, I would like to have a baby blue one. If anyone finds one of these let me know please

Re: Danbury Mint Gold 66 C10 Die cast

I don't know of a baby blue one. You could disassemble one and paint it,though.

Oh ok. I meant Danbury Mint. These replicas can be dismantled and put back together like the real thing. I'd like to do one in a different color some day...if I could find a cheap one.

I wanted to order the Tan 66 from Danbury and went on their site yesterday and its not there anymore, I think it may be sold out. I'll call Danbury this coming week to see for sure.

Re: Danbury Mint Gold 66 C10 Die cast

It appears that you are correct, they were a limited edition and are sold out.

Re: Danbury Mint Gold 66 C10 Die cast

Did anyone else get one of these before they sold out?

I have one as well... found it when cleaning out my Dad's closet after he passed away. Where/when did you order this? I've looked on their site and everywhere else but cannot find it available. The one I have is Dark Blue and I'd like to get a Light Blue one to match the truck.

I have that same model and it is probably 10 years old. Danbury Mint only makes so many and then they are gone forever. As far as I know Danbury only made thsi truck in the dark blue ( like the one you have) and the tan ,which sold out very quickly, and they also had an Orange one with mags and pulling a trailer with a Harley on it. Some danbury Mint Limited Edition models sell for 3/4/500.00 after they are discontinued.
