left over blazer
I have been on the forum a long time stealing ideas and been helped out a lot by some grate forum members. I have been meaning to make a build tread for a long time. I have a little time so I thought now that I am ¾ of the way it needs to happen.
My blazer is mostly left over parts from two other blazer builds. The truck is not meant to be original in any way. And do understand that this blazer was very close to going to the scrap yard. The build sheet blazer frame motor cross member modified to except a LS motor 1989 ¾ ton Chevy axles 3.73 10 bolt front 14 sf posi back 2002 ls6 with a cam mostly for a loopy idle Fi tec fuel injection Nv 4500 5 speed Np 205 transfer case H2 headers to a dynomax ss 2.5 exhaust H2 wheel and tires (for now) Escalade front and third row 90’s blazer gas tank with built in pump and sending unit Omaha orange and gm Pearl white. Pics are next |

Re: left over blazer
Looks like you have a great start! Can't go wrong with the orange.
Good luck, Rg |
Re: left over blazer
Nice, you are far more talented than me, I fear welding in a patch to fix my rusty rear fender wheel arches
keep up the great work and post up more pics |
Re: left over blazer
Thanks for the complements. The orange defiantly one of the best colors for fun cars, I have to admit the colors are left over from other projects as well. Orange is from a Saab sonnet build and a white is from my Waggoner.
The patch panels are not hard just go slow. 1/4 inch at a time not to warp. ans spread it out. once the shop is cleaned up from painting I will take some better pics. |

I was doing a little wiring over the week end so I snapped some pics of the chassis.
Front tow hitch. mounted any thing you want including a step so it is easier to work on the truck. clearance the frame little for the headers it has been reinforced inside the c channel. np 205 shifter bracket works as good as the original and a fun shot of the exhaust |
Re: left over blazer
Those are some real nice leftover parts!

Re: left over blazer
Thanks but they all are left over parts. The motor is from a totaled Vett of mine. The trans was 2wd from our old plow truck and we have more 205. I hate moving them around. The axels are also form a old plow truck both trucks went to the scrap yard The front tow hitch was for a 2000 f-250 that got a 5th wheel. The exhaust is seconds, had a friend at dynomax that let me buy a box of seconds. so surprisingly not too much has been spent on the truck.
