dually burb?
I have always been curious about this since I saw the movie Twister. In it, the bad guy (cary elwes I think) drives a black 'burb with dual wheels and dually fenders. Is this factory? It sure looked neat.

GM never made a dually burb. There are conversions though. Not too hard if you really want one. I've seen a 4X4 blazer turned into a dually. Looks BADA$$!!!

I'm making the wife's '90 Suburban 4x4 into a dually now. Also got a crate ZZ502 engine for it. Man is it getting expensive though!!

No, they're not factory, but there are converted ones out there. A guy on the next street over from me has one. He uses it to tow a big travel trailer...
|
That white dually sub above is nice, but too low...mine will be 4x4 and lifted 4", running 255/85/16s (33" tall), all with a snarlin 502 big block!!!:)

Do those fenders just bolt on? And are they off a chevy truck for that year? Dont they hit the door at all?
|
I'd just ask the same question...
I would like to convert my Burb to a Dually either... just love it ! The Baron |
Can't you use any old set of dually fenders from a similar-yeared pickup?
|
Nope, can't use truck dually fenders, they're too long. Arrowcraft makes custom fenders that are the proper dimensions for Suburbans. They run about $400 a pair.
